When I was maybe seven years old, my parents rented CLose Encounters of the Third Kind and watched it after I had gone to bed. I got up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, right in time to overhear a scene of a bunch of fake newscasts about aliens coming to earth, all using real newscasters. I thought it was real, and went straight back to bed, where I laid stiffly and silently, completely entombed under the covers.
