And here it is, the first issue next to the last.

That's awesome.

I wonder if eBay has the last issue.

It's nice to see their clay sculpting skills got a little better after 25 years.

It's sad that they couldn't give the included poster away for free like they could back in the day.

<Drew_Linky> Well, I've eaten vegetables all of once in my life.

You don't think the last issue looks just a little better than the first?

I think the first one might be fondant, and not clay.

A hard frosting used to make elaborate cakes.

Man, this is really sad. Nintendo Power was a legend in video game journalism.

I remember seeing the first issue of it at my relatives' house back in the late 1980's and that made me want to subscribe to it. I subscribed to Nintendo Power from 1990 something to 1999. I thought it was lame when they added advertisements in later issues. Too bad they have to end it. Well it's good to know it was around for 25 years.

It is most definitely clay. The cover was done by Will Vinton Studios, which has done a lot of work, including The California Raisins, The Adventures of Mark Twain, Return to Oz, the Speed Demon segment in Moonwalker and The PJs.

I still like the first one better. Mario had a bigger mustache and looked a little more retarded.
