I liked Django Unchained. I'm not bothered by Jamie Foxx's comments about killing white people because it's just about a movie and nothing to get hurt over. If you can handle a movie where black people are chained, slaved, and called the n word, then you should be able to handle Jamie Foxx's comment.

I actually had no idea about any comments made on SNL until they were mentioned in this thread. I was talking about comments I had heard him make a few years back on some radio program, as well as other interviews he has done where he has said similar things.

I would be inclined to think the comments he made on SNL are more of a joke, considering he was commenting on the movie and also SNL is a comedy show. So in that instance I would give him a pass, even if he was saying it in all seriousness like it is good to do those things.

It's not like people of all colors can't be racist, after all.

No matter what, Jamie Foxx will always be the Wanda character from In Living Color to me. Kind of hard to think of him as a serious actor with that past.

Exactly, what a dope. If some asshole has taken some silly acting job while starting out in the business, then I would never be able to take him seriously.

The SNL comment wasn't an isolated incident. Jamie Foxx has consistently made racist comments over the years. But his blatent racism is something I'd expect from him, a regular occurance not even worth commenting about at this point. His other comment is what really set me off, the one where he said Hollywood should take responsibility for all the gun violence right after the Sandy Hook shooting. He condemns the violence even though he's contributing to what he feels is a major part of spreading it. Not only that, but then he turns around and relishes in the violence when it's directed towards white people. It may have been on SNL but it wasn't a joke. That is his true desire.

Shake it, Quake it, Space Kaboom.

Well, I saw this movie the other day and while I still don't like Jamie Foxx, I did enjoy the movie for the most part.

It probably won't win the Acadamy Award for best movie, but it's easily one of the best movies of the year if not one of the best of all time. I thought Leo was great in the villain role for a change.
