So I'm in, but it seems like all you do is share pictures. I don't get it and I'm bored with it already.

Nah, you can do everything facebook does. I actually like how the circles work.

I have a few issues with it:
  • You can't write to individual streams like you can on Facebook Walls that everyone who can view that profile can see. You have to either make an circle with one person on it or write on your own stream with a tag to their name. If I'm understanding Google's goals with this, this is unlikely to change.
  • You can post GIFs that will animate within your stream if it's small enough, but you can't do the same with your profile picture.
  • The Circles function was developed to make it easy to segregate data distribution, but you can't maintain different identities between them. This is the reason I still have three Facebooks.

There's more, but they're glitches that are likely to be fixed.

I'm not a bad enough dude, but I am an edgy little shit. I'll do what I can.

Maintaining different identities on a single account is something unlikely to be incorporated into any social networking site. Doesn't really make any sense to have. And you're a dick for wanting animated gifs anyway.

Well, if you're allowed to have different circles, you should be able to customize the information they have access to, up to and including your name.

Excel, I don't understand your first point.

Also, Jeebus hit the nail on the head with the second one.

As for multiple identities... I haven't tried it, and don't plan to, but you can play with this.

This don't solve your multiple sign in issue, but they are workarounds to a degree for some multi-account issues.

Honestly I'm digging it so far.

Not a lot of people to play with yet, but still from what I have been able to mess with, I think its cool.

Can't fully judge it yet, it's still in beta form.
