Didn't you also imply that you didn't think 2G1C was real? Or was that someone else.

Also people always tell me "Dude, like, Taco Bell is the perfect late night party food bra!" but I just could never get into it. Mostly because looking in a Taco Bell and seeing the customers makes me want to kill myself. It usually looks something like this:

Joe Chewing Tobacco - Adorned with a tall Nascar hat, fresh spit stains, and a lump in his jaw, this guy smells like an abandoned lawnmower garage and Skoal.

Judy Ugly Forehead - The girl that, if you looked at her from behind you might actually consider boning. But when she turns around, her forehead is far too big for the average human. You make a mental note that she is clearly a mutant.

P. Snoop B.I.G - The guy in the humongous marshmallow jacket (in the summer) and his pants literally at his knees, which of course exposes his boxers for the world to see. He talks on his phone really loud, curses even louder and smells like weed and armpits. You want him to die.

I'm reminded of an old claim that McDonalds used fillers in their beef (including worms. Yum).

The McDonald's response: Why would we do that? Beef is cheaper than any possible filler we could use.

I like Taco Bell, but whenever I go to any fast food restaurant, I go without the illusion that whatever I'm eating is healthy. It can taste good, but it's definitely silently murdering my insides.

Also, I had to come here to make sure the "Thank you for suing us" informational was added. Excellent job, GP.

I rarely ever eat at Taco Bell so I'm not sure if my opinion carries much weight in this topic.

However, I would like to state that meat fillers are not all that uncommon in fast food. Pretty much any fast food chain will use whatever legal means necessary to make their food as cheap as they advertise. Hell, as long as people keep buying it, they could sell whatever garbage ingredients they could legally get away with in their food if it made them a profit.

Of course, many people only seem to care about how good it tastes and that's good enough for them, which sounds like a fair reason for anyone to want to continue eating at a certain place. But on the other hand, the whole "I don't care as long as it tastes good" mindset can be potentially dangerous. Just because it tastes good doesn't mean it can't do some weird shit in your body. If your food was laced with a carcinogenic material that happened to taste good, would you still eat it if you found out it was carcinogenic?

I'd say it's foolish to assume that a 99 cent taco would have quality meat in it, but through all the scrutiny of the ingredients, just be glad they use beef at all instead of meat from other animals, as well as suitable meat fillers like oats and starches rather than blended gym mats.

Well, Taco Bell doesn't seem to be in my country, so I don't know what I could be missing out on.

The rest of your reply, or even the fact that you decided to reply to begin with, is pointless. You started your entire statement by saying that you have no grounds to form an opinion, and then proceeded to state an opinion anyway.

The fact that your "opinion" is misinformed and incorrect doesn't help matters either.

The rest of my reply that you didn't read is something that pretty much applies to all fast-food chains, not just Taco Bell.

Do you have any sort of source to back this up?

As I mentioned above, my own research tells me most places do -not- use filler in their beef. Why? Beef is cheaper than any filler they could reasonably use.

Maybe cow eyeballs and worms are more expensive than beef:

http://www.snopes.com/horrors/food/wormburg.asp

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McDonald%27s_urban_legends#Unusual_ingredients

But if you seriously believe bread is more expensive than beef, you're mistaken. It all depends on what you use as filler. If it's cheaper than beef by the same volume and can be mixed into meat, it can make restaurant meat cheaper. I know because I've been behind-the-scenes in the restaurant industry before.

My dad used to own a restaurant and there came a time when he decided to save money on meatballs by mixing in way too much breadcrumbs and even a little ground chicken into the ground beef (hence why I stated that people should be glad that beef is the only meat Taco Bell uses in their beef mixtures). I kept telling him it was a bad idea to use cheaper food ingredients to mix into the beef, but he wouldn't listen. This was worsened by the fact that his restaurant was located in a town with picky diners who were able to tell the lack of meat and they eventually stopped coming. His cheapness led him to lose his business.

You clearly didn't read anything you just linked.

The snopes one says in big red letters, FALSE. The quote from McDonalds owner Ray Croc says "We couldn't afford to ground worms into our meat because hamburger costs a dollar and a half a pound and nightcrawlers cost six."

Moving further, you link the Wikipedia page that is clearly Urban Legends, and it refutes every single one of them in the article.

Did you like, on purpose prove yourself wrong or something?

I linked those to show Usa that he is right that cow eyeballs and worms are more expensive than beef just to show that I've looked at where he's getting his sources from. But I'm also pointing out that cow eyeballs and worms are not the only source of filler and there's plenty of filler you can use to stretch out meat.

I don't think you read everything I wrote and it looks to me you just made a beeline for the links.

We all knew that. I believe he was asking for proof of a fast food chain doing that which you did not provide.

You also say that "Hell, as long as people keep buying it, they could sell whatever garbage ingredients they could legally get away with in their food if it made them a profit."

No, no they can't. You really just need to pretend you didn't say a bunch of dumb shit.
