I question whether Tron is actually dead.
When he fell into the water just before the end his "power" went off then it started up again and had changed from Orange to White - implying that he was now good.
and then what happened? Nothing, he just fucking disappeared. I was expecting him to appear at the ending kicking ass all around but oh no.
EDIT: Well actually come to think of it he is dead since everything exploded lol.
But even still! Why the fuck didn't he do anything!?

LOL.
I really wanted Kevin to live as well. I'm a little tired of the trope where the mentor/father-who's-more-awesome-than-the-hero (much as I liked Sam in this flick) must die so the hero can learn responsibility or something.
Can't a guy learn responsibility without dead parents? |
Nobody kills parents like Disney.

WHY???? Why are you going to tell me a story to which I already know the ending??

Why are you surprised?
It's like going to see the Harry Potter movies having read the books.

Kinda like Revenge of the Sith. It was the best of the prequel movies, but you knew going in exactly what was going to happen, which really detracted from it.
And the stuff you didn't see coming in Revenge of the Sith (e.g. Mace Windu being legally retarded, NOOOOOOOO!) was disappointing.

Syd Lexia, I'm sure you meant Jeff Bridges instead of Jeff Dainels, right?
I also didn't like that they killed all of them at the end. It really felt rushed how they handled that. I'm not sure if Tron died though. We see him fall and turn back to blue. He might be alive. I hated how they never let you see Tron's face though. Or how Tron was only in maybe three scenes that were all very short. Did they spend all of their money on the CGI Jeff Bridges as CLU and couldn't afford to do the same for Bruce Boxleitner?
Overall I really enjoyed Legacy. Best 3D movie since Avatar by far. However everything that people have mentioned as being bad about the movie I can't really argue with. The movie was a treat for my eyes and ears though.

I was born in '94 too haha. That makes 3 of us, but Syd's comment is obviously hyperbole. There are a lot of idiots, maybe the majority, but there are some smart people.

Spoilers ahead for the TL sequel (and hooboy what spoilers they are!)

Rest of the story, as well as a link to the original, is HERE.
HOLY FUCKING SHIT. David Warner AND Cillian Murphy?! I'm no fan of sequel hype, especially when Tron 2, while beautiful, was only ok plotwise...but you throw those two in there, and I will camp out in front of the box office to be first in line!

I just want to see Tron himself come back. I was so pissed that he turned blue, into a good guy at the end...then NEVER DID ANYTHING. Arg!
