Navy/Government Websites are serious about Password building, which is understandable.

14-18 Characters.
2 Upper Case
2 Lower Case
2 Numbers
2 Special Characters

If you reset your password, you cannot use any of your previous 10 passwords.
Your password also expires every month and must be recreated.

I find it annoying but I can see why it's needed.

From my personal experience in password setups like this I've noticed that users will who use something like PassworD0000$! can usually get away with switching it to 0000$!PassworD when it is time to change, they do it for ease of remembrance. Same deal with you guys?

This is just stupid. I don't understand why we haven't matured to Pass Phrases instead at this point. Instead of making the characters more difficult, simply make the strings longer, but using common language.

A pass phrase is a full phrase instead of a word.

Example: "I am terrible at Mario"

As simple (and true) as it appears, it is actually very hard to crack and yet incredibly easy to remember and type.

My bank only allows 8-character passwords. I have no idea why.

I'm not a bad enough dude, but I am an edgy little shit. I'll do what I can.
