I kinda want The World Ends With You. I bought it for my brother for Christmas in 2008 and he loved it.
How is Intellvision Lives for the DS? I almost picked it up for the Gamecube and/or XBox, but the critics said the controls were awful. The Intellvision controls are VERY difficult to emulate.
It's funny you bring up Last Window, I was looking at that the other day. I've heard the Tingle Balloon Game or whatever it's called is really good too. Those would be self purchases though, unless my brother reads the video game forum, which he doesn't.
Anyone know anything about Infinite Space, Resonance of Fate, or Final Fantasy: 4 Heroes of Light?

Yeah, NV is a completely different character, right?
What about Red Dead Redemption? Is that worth getting? And is there a pack that comes with the Zombie DLC? |
Eh it's just Grand Theft Horse, if you like Westerns sure, not so much mileage if you don't imo.

I like Intellivision Lives on the DS, the touchscreen recreates the 12 button input of the Intellivision controller, I think it works really nicely. Each game has an instruction manual that you can access by pausing the game, which helps a lot, as a bunch of the games leave you with that "What the hell am I supposed to be doing?" feeling.
The 4 Heroes of Light game is very much in the old RPG style, right down to a finicky inventory system and very loose guidance on what to do next. I've heard it's not too big on story or characterization, focusing more on the gameplay and the battles. (Personally, I'm not a fan of the graphics, I've gotten sick of the 3D chibi characters in RPG games)

Holy shit no Super nintendo games, that came as a surprise.
I would actually say the new SplatterHouse because i like the old games and the new one looks preety good. And i agree with Ash, PS3 has some great exclusives.

FF XIII- i know its not a big deal with that game but i love FF and thats reason enough for me.
N 64 with Lylat Wars - I still got 2 Joypads for it and i'am planing that for a while. Lylat Wars is just one of the best games ever made.
A Link to the Past for Snes - been about 10 years the last time i played/owned it. Can't wait to play it again...
Breath of Fire 5: Dragon Quarter for PS2 - I rented and loved that game. By far the best of the BoF Series.
The Legend of Zelda for NES - I never ever played it but it looked amazing everytime a saw it.
Those are just ideas, what i actually will buy could probably include none of these games.

I was gonna hold out on that, but the preorder watch hooked me in. Of course, now Aksys is selling the watch for $5 through their store.

I've put a lot of time into Red Dead Redemption. It's basically Sergio Leone: The Game. The Zombie DLC has its own disk but that doesn't have the normal game on it, so your best bet is to get a copy of the regular game and download the Zombies from the marketplace. It's also cheaper to download the zombies ($10, or $20 if you want ALL the DLC in one package vs $30 for the DLC disk)
Freshly Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland is fantastic and overlooked because Tingle. If you have a chance, get it for sure.
Dragon Age is fantastic, but the console versions are frustrating to control -- it was built for the PC, and it shows. I'd recommend it, but the PC is definitely the definitive version. If you're only looking for 40 hours of RPG, you can do it, but not if you're a completionist -- expect doing everything to take upwards of 200 hours. I kid you not. I figure that to do absolutely everything in this game would take at least 10 playthroughs and over 1000 hours. But who does that?
As for asking for a Steam Game, they actually let you gift games directly through the service. The person buying just chooses "buy as a gift" and then types in the username they want to gift it to. XBLA would require a gift card of some sort though.
And don't forget Alan Wake. That's up there for GOTY for me, alongside Galaxy 2 (albeit for very different reasons.)
