The guns were made up specifically for the game, so no.

The Walther PPK is the gun Bond used in the books, and it is real. It's also what Megatron turns into.

It has an 82/100 on metacritic, with an average user score of 8.6/10. How is that "terrible reviews"?

No Sean Bean...fuck that! I also agree with Syd that they shouldn't have changed the names. Plus there never was an Ak-47 in the movie/game. That was an AKS-74U http://www.imfdb.org/index.php?title=AKS-74U#AKS-74U.

I'm not sure if I like the Call of Duty approach since I prefer to play spy games in a more stealth manner. Many of the levels in the original game could be played stealthy or action packed. The new Goldeneye seems to be more of an action game than a stealth game.

To clarify, there are many different PPKs. The one generally associated with Bond is the PPK 7.65 mm. So the name PP7 is a sort of a portmanteau.

I kinda think that they went with that approach to emphasize the style of Bond the Craig is in the movies. If you watch him in the movies, he is for sure more of a "run and gun" style Bond.

My Muzaks! CHECK IT OUT!!!

Maybe so but it just feels kind of odd to me. Also with this remake/retelling I wanted them to go all out, they didn't.

I really would have liked to have some more of the actors from the movie lending their voices to the game. Just because it is a retelling does not mean you can't use the same actors/actresses. The game we be so much better if Sean Bean was playing 006 or Famke Janssen as Xenia

They also use the title track from the movie. The original was preformed by Tina Turner however the one in the game is a cover by somebody else, forgot the name already.

I feel that they could have gone the extra mile and used the original song, original actors/actresses. But some of the stuff they did just feels kind of cheap. I'll play a little more tonight but those are my initial impressions.

So I bought it the day it came out, just beat the campaign about 20 minutes ago. Pretty awesome game, multiplayer online is pretty sweet too.

My local Wal-Mart is selling the one with the golden controller for $70. Forget that, I'll just go buy 3 used N64 controllers and play the old one with my friends!

Game informer seems to go out of its way to judge wii titles while it usually gives puff reviews of other console titles.

Game Informer? What the fuck is Game Informer? They're nobodies. I've never even heard of them. That's who you're going to for your gaming opinions? I usually check out 1UP and IGN, and then either Meta Critic or Game Rankings for a meta score.

You aren't blocked from IGN? Funny... I would have expected that you would be after...
