I'm just curious as to what you guys were looking for. I've been using Limewire for YEARS and never got porn, and viruses were minimal. Although I mostly only got music and the occasional music video.

I tried searching Slayer and ended up getting something along the lines of "Pussy Slayer" WAY more than actual Slayer. Even COMPLETELY unrelated things came up. Searching for Motorhead should NOT have resulted in "18 YEAR OLD GETS PLOWED IN THE BACK OF AN RV BY HER MAN".

Actually, thinking back, I can't remember if it was kazaa or limewire that was a haven for viruses.

How did Limewire get a hold of my porn?! It wasn't supposed to be released until February 2012!

Glad to see it go, even though it won't change a thing.

Illegally downloading music is what's going to keep music shitty in the first place. There's a reason why albums are dead and the singles market of the '50s/early '60s has returned: it's more profitable.

The only way album sales still exist is through country and juve-pop sales (Miley, Taylor Swift, et al). A 13-yr old girl walking through a store with her mom screaming to get the new CD. The music's beginning to skew younger, and dumber Sad

Welcome, Stormy!

Also, Limewire is obsolete anyway--Youtube to mp3 converters have become so commonplace that I'm surprised at how many people haven't heard about it. Living where I am, though, that shouldn't be a big surprise.
