| Konami was able to make a Simpsons Bowling game for arcades after EA won the Simpsons license, so it's possible. |
Of which our own Shut Up, Dorn bowled a 300 with Groundskeeper Willie on his first quarter ever.

Well, obviously it's not a DIRECT port, in the same was MvC2 wasn't a direct port, because it'll add online. But that's a very welcome addition. This is pretty cool.
Theoretically, they could put this on the VC. With a combination of GCN controllers and Wii remotes, you can have 5 player games of Bomberman '93. I imagine 6 player support would also be possible then. |
And yet no one has yet attempted to make a Wii game with more than four players. Imagine an eight-player game in which all players use different controllers by necessity.

I'm not a bad enough dude, but I am an edgy little shit. I'll do what I can. |

It's a shame that Technos isn't around anymore. Would've loved to seen the old WWF WrestleFest on XBox Live. Can you imagine a WrestleFest game with some current stars?

Well bomberman 95 supports 5.

I loved turtles in time. Everyones just upset over the face that they used the arcade version instead of the super nintendo version. Haters gonna hate.

Wow, that is an epic clip.
I fucking love CotA. Capcom should just put a majority of their old fighters up for download, easy money.

Exactly, it would be money in the bank for them. I love the very Street Fighter feel of CotA, despite it having many mechanics of a Vs. game.

well when I first played it, the VS. games didn't even exist, so it holds a special place in my heart. That's why the Vs. games are so wild to me. I remember first seeing this and thinking "wow, that shit's over the top!" then seeing X-Men Vs. Street Fighter and being like "1 - Street Fighter WTF?!?!!? 2 - TAG TEAM?!?!!? and 3 - Wow, that shit's WAY over the top!"
As I got into the lesser known SNK games later on, this was my first real experience with Tag Team in a fighting game. I was blown away.

Dude, you honestly would rather play this on your Xbox than OWN THE FUCKING MACHINE?

If I could only own one machine, it wouldn't be this. Great game and all, but it's no Final Fight or Street Fighter II.

^ Mine would be the original Konami TMNT, cheesy airbrushed cabinet art and all. Actually, it's gotta have the artwork or it's a no-go, that shit takes me way back. Makes me think of pizza and the Rock-A-Fire Explosion.

It's a cool machine no doubt, but's it's fucking massive, and probably heavier than all hell.
I'd want something simple that anyone can play that doubles as a table, like those pac man tables they used to have. Did they have any other arcade games in table form?

If I had to choose one machine, it would be Revolution X, or something else that just isn't as fun on an emulator. I don't think I'd take a Street Fighter 2 machine if it was offered to me for free. I am so sick of Street Fighter 2.

Fuck it, I'm making a whole other thread for this. Lots of potential for good conversation.

I definitely remember seeing Galaga in a cocktail cabinet back when I was a kid, there might have been a few more too.

Cocktail cabinets are shaped like low, rectangular tables, with the controls usually set at either of the longer ends, or, not as common, at the short ends, and the monitor inside the table, the screen facing upward. Two-player games housed in cocktails were usually alternating, each player taking turns. The monitor reverses its orientation for each player, so that everything seems right-side-up from their perspective. This requires special programming of the cocktail versions of the game (usually set by dip switches). The monitor's orientation is usually in player two's favor only in two-player games when it's player two's turn, and in player one's favor all other times. Simultaneous, 4 player games that are built as a cocktail include Warlords, and others.
Cocktail cabinet versions were usually released alongside the upright version of the same game. They were relatively common in the 1980s, especially during the Golden Age of Arcade Games, but have since lost popularity. Their main advantage over upright cabinets was their smaller size, making them less obtrusive. The top of the table was covered with a piece of tempered glass, making it convenient to set drinks on (hence the name), and they were often seen in bars. |

There was a Bowling alley here that had a Nintendo version of a cocktail machine back in the late 80's. It was awesome it had Sky Kid, Sky Shark, Castlevania, Mario and some others. I've always wondered what the table arcades were called.
