Syd, I agree whole heartedly with you on Metal Slug, even if 3 is the only one I've ever played consistently. And I HAVE that bitch on console, but the coin farming option doesn't really exist. You have maybe three continues.

I would like to add Total Carnage and Smash TV. I think I had to plop more quarters in those to beat them than any other game in existence.

Not sure if I ever actually beat any of the Super Star Wars games. Some of the bosses/platforming areas can be brutal.

Metal Slug 3 is probably the hardest one, too! That Final Mission just keeps going and going!

If beating Donkey Kong means reaching the kill screen, then I never beat it either 
Otherwise, I only beat it in DK64. I don't count the NES version because it doesn't have the second level.

I believe it was the fourth board where I just could not progress anymore. They introduce those spinny, pickle dudes with weird patterns and the level design is punishing.

Level 2 is pretty fucking annoying too. It's a reverse bottleneck. The worst part is that the enemies don't all come from one direction, they march on screen from the four corners of the board.

I am really good at level 2 actually, can usually beat it in one life. You have to "juke" out the enemies more than usual on this level. Requires a lot of finesse for a fat little burger chef.
Btw, LOVE the music and style of this game in general.
