My friends are so "macho" they refuse to see a movie with the "Titanic Fairy" in it. I for one liked a lot of his movies, I especially like "Catch Me, If You Can" and "The Departed". I just don't know what to see anymore, I wanna see Inception, Expendables (can't wait), Predators, Despicible Me, Toy Story 3, and a couple others...I think I might see this one next though. |
Uhh, make them watch Gangs of New York, that turned my opinion of him right around.

just bad timing on my end in terms of sneaking into the movie. it was my 3rd movie of the day. |
Dear lord how could you stand to sit in a theater for 3 movies? My tailbone usually starts to kill me after one. |
well, it's not like I'm in the same theater for the 3 movies. I have to do recon work to see which movie I will watch next and then walk into that theater. Or go to one theater and watch a random movie while I wait for another one to start.
And beer helps

Probably the dumbest movie ive ever seen, nothing made sense at all. You cant call a movie good if it has garbage writing and good effects. Im never been more confused by a movie ever

I think it's a brilliant film that's going to have a shot at winning Best Picture. Sorry to hear you didn't like it because I think it's easily one of the most well-made and best movies of the year.

I thought it was well made for sure, but also felt at times it was deliberately confusing just to make the watcher be like "oohh, it totally made sense, here is one of 523 ways to explain what was going on". Other than that though, I did enjoy it.

I like movies who force you to think on and on. movies like inception with a deep plot are not common, but they should be. then people would get used to them and would not be confused when walking out of the theatre.

I finally saw it on HBO. I had no real interest and while watching it I stopped several times to get food, do work, talk on the phone.
The truth is, conceptually the movie was very cool. It had the same type of thing going for it as the first Matrix movie.
So why wasn't I completely into it? They presented a large number of characters, none of which had qualities that I felt made them worthy of being the plot's hero or anti-hero. Essentially I felt like I followed a good story, but did not care about the people in it.
This isn't a judgment of the acting, which was superb. It was the story itself. Since the other elements of the movie were great, I would probably give it a 7/10. I just felt like I wanted to care more about at least one of the characters... enough so that I wanted them to live through everything for more reason than just to see how the movie would end.
