It was obviously worth it to him if he ran two red lights as long as his wife checked in as quickly as he could get her there.

Having a wife with health problems, I can definitely empathize with the guy. I'd have paid the tickets and told them to pound them up into their asses. I'd have a very high powered attorney looking at the rest of the charges and the local media in a furor.
