I don't think I'll be able to play it, since not many Windows 95 era games work with XP.
Also, check this out. This game here is a sequel's sequel to a game that was released in the US. I already have the game, and it fucking rocks, but this game blows it away. And it probably won't get released in the states! Why do the Japanese get all of the cool Mech games?

wow I forgot all abotu earthsiege. that was a well amde video, but I dont think teh game would be very fun by today's standards.
I find when I go back and play older gaems usually I get annoyed at little things, like how the buildings are the same color as the background, or how its hard to see the opposing mechs until they get closer.

For me, thats only with old 3D games. Give me an NES or an SNES and a handful of games, and I'm entertained for the rest of the day.

Actually, it runs fine in Windows XP. I recorded that all yesterday, running the game in XP. I was surprised it worked, but it did.
Of course, your mileage may vary...

Hey Char, when you post a video from YouTube, remove the object and param tags from the code. All you need is the embedded stuff.

Why?
Oh, the Japanese thing. Yeah, but you had to take the time to learn one of the most convoluted languages on the planet, so, tradeoff.

How about a game where you are the President of The United States and have to save the counrty in your Mech!
Metal Wolf Chaos trailer
This is the most cheesetastic game I have ever seen, but for some reason I really want it.

That's why DOSBOX is your friend. Play any DOS era game on XP, with full sound, and it even recognizes USB joysticks and controllers. YAY! Google it. It's free and beautiful. I've been using that lately to play my good old Dos CD "Full Throtle"

Strangely, while DOS Box works beautifully for nearly every game I've ever tried for it, Mechwarrior 2 (and expansions) stubbornly refuse to work. Intercepting topics unite!
For older games, while DOS Box generally works well (or at least adequately), I also recommend the now-free Virtual PC (2004 or some such). You need to install a prior operating system, but it tends to do what I want it to do. And it runs Mechwarrior 2 and Mercenaries great (But GBL is constantly fudging up... blarg!).
