yeah, but that was all part of bane's plan. wasn't he the guy that unleashed all of the villians to begin with?

He did, but that in no way makes him Batman's equal.
Keep in mind, Batman has a code, something that Bond doesn't. Bond would outmanuever and probably kill Bane.

Bane still outsmarted Batman. I could understand if Bane just happened across batman after a bunch of random fights broke out and defeated him, but Bane orchestrated the entire Arkham breakout to begin with, with the intentions of weakening Batman. The problem with Bane is that most people see him as the jacked up brute that later cannonology made him, and not for the cunning villain that he was originally made to be.
But yeah, I agree that Bond would probably kill Bane, but it would still be one hell of a fight.

Yeah, the animated serious turned Bane (even though I still absolutely love the series) into a growling madman, while in the Comics his cunning and intelligence rivaled that of Batman's. Here is the thing about Batman and Bond, Bond may not have a code and Batman does, but Batman wouldn't need to kill Bane.
I've always thought that Bond is kind of like bad villains. They want to destroy the world because they couldn't ever hope to control it. Bond does what he does because he wouldn't ever be able to truly defeat his opponents.

How about a list that doesn't involve sorcery and magic wielding beings? Is that possible people? I mean, like it's been shown, Hans Gruber, the guy played by Jaiver Bardaim (sic) and so on, that they would be a helluva a lot more likely to kill Bond in a realistic setting versus Sauroman in the land's of "MODAHR". I'd say we make a list right here and now to counter this list and actually have it make sense.

Mac Guyver should totally go against Bond. |
I like this idea. My money would be on McGuyver though. Bond is resourceful and suave, but Mac is *street smart* and resourceful...I think he wins.

I've always wondered who would win if The Hulk went up against MacGuyver. I mean, MacGuyver could make a proton cannon out of a pancake and some cinder blocks, but Hulk could just smash whatever he makes.

Hmmm. Interesting question. I guess it would come down to, could Mac be fast enough, and hide well enough, to create and employ whatever Hulk-busting device he comes up with, vs Hulk's superior size and speed pulverizing him first.
Once again I think my money would be on Mac. I think he's cool-headed and smart enough to outsmart Hulk's white hot, blinding rages.

Bond can beat anyone, because that's how he's written.

To me, it's not about beating Bond. It's about finding someone who is his worthy opponent.
Hans Gueber, Mola Ram, Mr. Potter, and Javier Bardem match up differently to Bond in so many ways, but they definately give Bond a run for his money.
Personally, I already think my list far surpasses that shitty list on the other site. At least I put effort into calculating the match up.

Bond's primary strengths are:
-Intelligence/Resourcefulness
-Access to cool gadgets
-Physical fitness/prowess (being that he's a trained government agent)
So you need someone who can match him on at least two of those criteria, such as Rambo.
--Rambo's probably not as "smart" as Bond, but equally resourceful (especially if the fight takes place in a jungle or desert setting rather than an indoor/urban setting.
--Rambo doesn't have as many cool gadgets, but a 12-inch knife is about as cool a gadget as you'll find.
--In a hand to hand fight, I'd say a grizzled special forces guy beats a crafty agent. And Rambo's far more ripped than any James Bond has ever been.

Nice comparison Ice, but Rambo wasn't really a bad guy. So if they fought eachother, it would be a lose-lose situation.

not really. rambo is a military man. if the military says "hey rambo, we need you for one more mission again. you know you're a killer ect.ect.ect again" he'll do it.

The only people Bond can not kill are the ones he can not come up with a good pun for.
