I'd be pretty unhappy if they did that. Also, in a scene (possibly deleted scene) you can see him frozen in the ice in Hulk, so they're clearly planning on that. It would be nice if they just kinda glazed over his original like in Ultimates, cause they could really do it well in about 10-15 minutes, maybe even less, but then once he's in the present I'm not sure what he'd do without being part of the Avengers.

Theoretically yes, but it's not gonna happen. Doom is really only a villain to the Fantastic Four, or when he's a villain on a global scale. I don't think you'd ever see him and Captain America go head to head without it being part of some huge, international conflict. Also, Captain America wouldn't stand a fucking chance.

See, that's exactly what I think they'll do unfortunately. The Red Skull, if in it at all, will either be just Middle Eastern or revealed to be the Neo Nazi power behind the terrorists.

Yeah, I suppose Nazis aren't much of a threat these days, so if they did the Red Skull it would probably have to be the ultimate version, but that's sooooo fucked up that I can't imagine they'd want to do it.

That's a LOT of drama to deal with in a single movie, and it wouldn't really work outside of an actual Avengers movie, either.
