Unfortunately though, Autocomplete now seems to be tied to the dropdown history (the downward arrow next to the address bar) and disabling AC disables it. So I can't disable it.

Syd, with IE8 on a shared computer you want to use to browse Playboy.com you might want to consider using IE in Private mode.
"iexplore.exe -private"
Or you could just choose any other browser and set it to the non-tracking mode. Have yourself a "porn" browser while you use the other one as your main "clean" browser.
Of course if you get sloppy you can fix the whole thing up with CCleaner.

Playboy.com
I remember WAY WAY back in the day, that was one of the first "porn" sites I tried, since it was one of the few that actually made sense. And the site sucked.

Is he a good guy or a bad guy, and will he get a chance to fight John Cena for the WWE Championship?

Or, they just get rid of autocomplete, or at least de-link it from the dropdown menu. Any place I need to go, I can find in the dropdown menu, type in myself, or find through Google search. AutoComplete is a waste of time. I start typing in SydLexia.com, and it suggests some fucking tech blog I went to ONCE. Guess what assholes? I don't want to go there again. Stop suggesting it.

I use Mozilla, but I assume this would work in IE8 as well. I set everything to clear out on my history so there is nothing in the tool bar at all. I have StumbleUpon and I set that to save everything I gave "thumbs up" to in the toolbar. Now random sites I go to once or twice don't show up in the tool bar, but sites that I give a thumbs up to which are sites I actually enjoy and frequent are all that shows up.
