I just fus-ro-dah giants and kill them with power attacks. I always avoided them until I had decent armor/weapons.

It's sort of difficult until the boss-level enemies become manageable. Those two-hit asshole Draugrs drove me nuts at first.

Even at higher levels I would still get thrown across rooms by the draugrs' fus-ro-dahs. It didn't really hurt me, but every once in a while they sent me flying off of a cliff or the top of some tower and I would have to go back into the tower and climb to the top again. Just slightly irritating.

The only things I found challenging once I got over level 50 were those damn Briarhearts because if you don't avoid that first rush they do it can instant kill you if you aren't in heavy armor. The good thing is there aren't more than a handful in the game, and while they can't be disarmed and seem to have supernatural hearing to spot sneaking people a Slow Time shout can really help you avoid them. Though if you do manage to sneak up on them and you steal their Briar Heart they die instantly.

I was not aware stealing their hearts was an instant kill, suppose I should have though. Until I hit higher levels, Forsworn and Ancient Dragons were the biggest pains in the ass. Now everything dies by my hand!

Stealth bow crits are basically one shotting everything for me, my bow does like 150 base damage.

Muffle to Illusion 100, invisibility+silent enchant on boots= sneak master. I'm actually starting a new character, pure mage this time.

You don't even need illusion magic to sneak perfectly, I can walk right up to people's faces and shoot them in the head with an arrow without them noticing me now.

I'm playing a new character focused primarily on destruction and heavy armor and it's a bit different than the stealth archery approach I used last time. Draughr up to Deathlords go down with a couple dual-cast fireballs and bandits and lower level Forsworn get smoked easily too, but dragons usually require a lot of cover or an Atronoch to draw fire and dragon priests send me running. Also, i found a tome of Transmute, which I had never found before, that allows you to turn iron ore into silver ore and silver into gold ore! It really helped me make some money on. the lower levels.

So I'm learning that if you pick Breton, you can become a God. Their natural magic resistance, couples with the many ways to beef it up, can essentially make them immune to magic attacks. I have a Breton mage who's pretty much unstoppable, especially against dragons and dragon priests.

My first playthrough was actually with a Breton. I thought that if I played a heavy armored, one handed character, I would be gimping myself because they start so low with Bretons, but I realize now that even though the starting magic resistance for Bretons is "only" 25%, it makes such a huge difference that even with lower non magic stats, Bretons are incredibly powerful in Skyrim because the level up system now works completely in their favor. It also helps that they have arguably the best racial ability in the game, so even the early dragon fights are a joke as a Breton.

Orc racial seems the most powerful to me. I have an orc dual wielder he destroys dragons by popping the racial... once it lands.

I picked High Elf and the Highborn ability isn't really that great a trade off for burning like a marshmallow against fire attacks.

My first playthrough was also as a Breton, and I was an unstoppable force. I have yet to play through the game again, though. Totally burned out on Skyrim for a while after almost 400 hours in a month.
When I play again I will start a new game as Khajiit, which I will name Kathmandu.

The first character I did was Khajiit and I liked the fact that brawls took nearly no time but other than that the racial was useless and Night Eye doesn't do anything because all the dungeons are fairly well lit.
The Imperial I made next didn't really seem like it was too powerful either, a few extra gold here and there, but gold is pretty useless after a certain point. Never used the activated power because I never felt like I needed to.
I could see the Breton's magic resist being really powerful though especially before you can enchant your gear to the 85% cap or whatever. It was really overpowered when I did that even the strongest dragons did next to nothing to me.

This video shows things that developers added to Skyrim in the week after it was finished, apparently just for fun. I wonder if any of these will show up in DLC. I particularly liked the mounted combat, seasonal foliage, spears. moving platform and water currents in dungeons and being able to build your own home. I really hope some of these show up in the DLC when it finally gets released.

Oh my god, Spears. Yes. The DLC should definitely include spears. It's a bit ridiculous that they weren't already there. Mounted combat would be awesome too, although that really shouldn't have to be content that you have to pay for.

Well, the DLC was announced today, sort of. It is called Dawnguard and is coming this summer. Apparently more details will be coming at E3.
I have heard rumors of snow elves and crossbows, but who knows. I am can't wait for more news on this.

Dawnguard is badass. Started on it last week. I've got it going on my Bretton Mage/Goddess, my Nord Knight and I'm going to start my Imperial thief on it soon. As a long time fan of Castlevania, I'm going to have to join team Belmont in all but the thief, since he's already evil as fuck. Plus, the Dawnguard let me recruit and adorable Husky named Bran. How can you not support a faction that lets you recruit an adorable husky named Bran?
