E.g. Nirvana. I like Nirvana. They made good music and i enjoy an occasional listen to them. What i hate however is how over the top everyone is about them and Cobain. Go to any Nirvana video and you will see:
"Omgggz i <333 u kurdt, i hav a place for u in mi heart NO U ARE MY HEART , i wish u werent dead, I must love u to conform to the stereotypical teenage viewpoint abt how much life sucks, no how much my life sucks, now i am going to climb up your ass because i am superfan and learn every fact about you bibbity babbity etc."
Now i don't have a problem with people liking them but when i see stuff like this it makes me rage so much. Also the fucking Suicide-Murder debate which continually comes up with the
"LOL KURT HAD SO MUCH DRUGS IN HIM HE COULDN'T HOLD A SHOTGUN LOLOL"
Then you get the
"OMG DONT U COMPARE BAND A TO NIRVANA BECUZ THEY ARE SO MUCH BETTER, caps locks cruise control for cool".
Then you get the people who are like i quote from youtube:
Jakobane (16 hours ago)
You obviously dont know kurt or Nirvana
These people piss me off beyond belief. Translation:
"I am a bigger Nirvana than you, I am up Kurts ass more than you, ergo fuck off and die"
I could go forever.
There is another band that i often read the comments and want to die reading but it has skipped my mind as to who they are.
Like i don't have a problem with people liking bands (why would i?) like i said i like Nirvana but when they come off with stupid shit like this..holy fuck.
2. When people watch covers of bands and then say that it's shit because it didn't cover it EXACTLY like the original.
It's pretty ironic that the fangirls who are like that are the type of people who would've seriously pissed off Kurt Cobain. Thank God most of Alice in Chains' fanbase is nowhere close to as retarded as they are.

No instead with Alice in Chains you get:
"Oh my god how can they replace Layne. HE IS ALICE IN CHAINS"
and other associated arguments relating to Laynes death.

I'm just saying, my argument is kinda like that, 'cept it's right.
And FTR, I'm totally cool with them going on without Layne, but with the new record, they fucking ARE replacing him,, get over it. Go to that album's thread to see my argument.

The Black Eyed Peas. Seriously, I can't describe how can such a stupid band write such stupid lyrics and melodies and release them as full albums, let alone singles that are played frequently on hipster radio stations.

Tom Morello's "Arm The Homeless" guitar.
Arm the homeless? Seriously? Does he really believe that? He can't possibly believe that, can he? That's so "Ima in sixth grade. Ima just learned about politics. Ima destroy social classes because I don't own as many XBox games as I'd like!". No slogan better illustrates the hilariously naive, dangerously misguided musings of the ill-educated American left as "Arm The Homeless".
Hate em or love through, Their concerts looked fun. And the reason they have "legacy" is because, well they're pretty damn good at it, I mean Tom Morello's guitar in "Bulls on Parade" is freakin' amazing.
Now politics wise, I mean again I give them props for attempting to get kids into politics and those kids developed the whole indiemedia we have today. As well as "informing" the masses of the imprisonment of Mumia,EZLN, the vouch for more than a two-party system. United farm Workers, Human Rights, cuz guarantee nobody else would've mention that. For that I saulte them.
But when you quote stuff from 1984, & say you want communism, then it makes you look really unintelligent, and than you perform a concet at the DNCin '08? C'mon guys.

I can come up with better slogans that Arm the Homeless, from both sides of the train tracks no less.
Feed the Homeless
Clothe the Homeless
Shelter the Homeless
Educate the Homeless
Employ the Homeless
Hug the Homeless
Fuck the Homeless
Beat the Homeless
Gas the Homeless
Hunt the Homeless
Eat the Homeless
Ignore the Homeless

It has nothing to do with the music. It's all about, like Syd said, completely misguided and idiotic policies that these guys endorse. For all the people who think that Obama is "indoctrinating" our children, I think you should go look in your kids CD collection and shut your mouth. That kinda shit does far more damage than the president reading a fairy tale to you in class.

^I really wish you hadn't posted that^
I really hate shit like BrokeNCYDE.
Either these people are fully aware of how much they suck and are just doing it as a means for money, or they're the absolute stupidest motherfuckers, and the only people stupider are the people who actually enjoy that shit.
I seem to be stuck in a generation warp, I listen to mostly stuff that came out when I was a child, stuff I was aware of, but didn't listen to since I was a fucking child and I didn't understand it. My musical cutoff is around 2000, that's when things became sour to me.

Psh, what's even worse is Crabcore.
I think they're a Christian band, too. They even have shirts with "CRAB FUCKING CORE" on it. One day, I want a shirt with a picture of a crab fucking an apple core, just to see who'd get the joke.

I don't know, man...They're both awful but I think I give the slight edge in awfulness to crunkcore.

They named a song after the popsicle stick from the old Nickelodeon bumpers? That's kind of awesome.

That's what that stick's name was? I'd completely forgot. Regardless, crabcore sucks.

Too much fusion music, people should just go back to simple combinations like Jazz-punk , pop-black metal etc.
the fact it took me three years to find a song from of a movie, only to find out how horrible it is.

Disagreed...I like fusion music...sure some of it DOES suck, but there's other stuff that just sounds phenomenal. Combining elevetor music with scatting and compiling that with rock tech, you get some real interesting stuff. The problem lies with how they put a genre on EVERYTHING, so all this shit can carry over on one way or the other.

I can see where your coming from, like that "crab-core" band, I'd just simply classify them simply as a Christian-Hardcore punk or what have you. As long as you make good music, your genre shouldn't really count that much.
And to be fair, most of the time whenever I'm on an other message boards people just seem to post the shitty bands/artist. So I really haven't heard true fusion music, except Sky Eats Airplane, if they count. (awesome band by the way)
