BUMP. I've just capped off a largely-scheduled binge on the Resident Evil series with this game, at which point things got away from me schedule-wise. Having gone through all four campaigns in their entirety (the first three as their respective titualrs; otherwise next time), I, for one, am officially of the opinion that this franchise can do whatever the fuck it wants as long as it doesn't tamper with already-established events, debatable or otherwise.
Leon's Chapter 5 revised his and Helena's state of being in the Prologue, but I don't see myself going through that part ever again. And while Sherry was infected with the G-virus all those years ago, one of the many files I missed might have said that she also saw her mother die. I'm not sure, though.
Lastly, I really liked that you could turn 95% of the game into a beat-'em-up. While not without its price, what better way to conserve ammo while still taking down the opposition? Not to mention the sheer exhilaration of it, especially on Jake's side of the penultimate battle of his campaign.
So yeah, as I expected, I like RE6.
