I hate when a game forces you to restart. This isn't really a problem with today's games,, but on the NES it seemed like it happened a bit. One really bad memory involves Mindscape's "Dirty Harry". If any of you have ever played it you know what a complete disaster the game is. In the first level you have to navigate a labyrinthine version of San Fransisco, with numerous buildings, dead-ends, and sewers. It takes a really long time to get through, and doing the wrong thing could cause you to have to re-do 20 minutes of work. At one point if you go into the wrong room, you are greeted with a sign on the wall that says "Ha Ha" and no way out, forcing you to turn the game off after who knows how much effort you've put in. Never mind the fact that there is no warning about such a room, you just stumble into it and are fucked. Fuck Mindscape.
Another thing is Resident Evil 4, when the Ganados get cattle prods and you have to hear that buzz sound until you kill them. That shit gets annoying fast.

I tell ya, I'm no pro speed runner.
I've always wanted to do one for contra, though. |
Well what games do you hate/suck at so I can schedule them as needed?

For NES? I'm kinda good at everything.
How about Solomon's Key? Wait... NO ONE was good at that game.
Edit: Double Dragon 3, Bayou Billy, pretty much any game that's impossible.

Jumping in Castlevania, pretty well all 2D console games of it, fucking brutal in C1 at least and anytime there are Medusa Heads in C1, mother fucker, i had to quit playing, i only got to lvl 7 or stage 7 or whatever before stopping. I'm not great at videogames and that shit pissed me off bad |
If your in Stage 7 I need to see a video of this, as far as I knew there are only 6 stages, simply amazing! But yes I agree, atleast you could eventually jump/climb up steps. |
I just hate not being able to control myself in a jump a la SMB. How many stages are there? theres a counter in the corner that says I'm on lvl or stage 7 or some shit. I've beaten the Medusa boss, wich oddly enough is easier than dealing with the regular medusa mother fucking heads.

it jsut means you ahve to be mroe careful before jumping, which in turn makes the game go at a fuckign plodding pace. because of this, I think anyone that likes pre SOTN games over post SOTN games is a poopy face.

I hate the fucking inordiante amount of time it takes to beat Mr. Big at the end of the NES NARC game. Also, the fact that outside of Leo and Don in the original TMNT game, both Mike and Raph sucked to pay as, no range. Also, I hate having to start over, never played Dirty Harry for the NES much, but I hated in Final Fantasy III (U.S.), if you get the chainsaw from behind the grandfather clock before rating the opera, it won't let you really get to the opera. Enter the Matrix has horrific collision detection, a friend of mine's brother got it for him for his b-day, and he felt bad that he had to play it, but it blows.

Well, I finally played Shaq Fu. The story was indeed suckage; I laughed through most of it. As far as the game itself, I played about four fights, only got through one of the first three. I'm never playing that piece of shit again.
I'm also done with Michael Jordan: Chaos in the Windy City. The athlete himself was awesome, but the game itself was laughable.

While Castlevania I only has six actual levels, the "Stage" number increases every time you travel through a door or beat a level.
