And now for more reasons for alowishus to complain, the US version WILL come with a charger, the EU and JPN versions won't.
Source here: http://www.washingtonpost.com/business/technology/nintendo-3ds-xl-comes-to-north-america-on-august-19th/2012/06/22/gJQAILc2uV_story.html

"Nintendo of America reps tell Polygon that the 3DS XL will come with an AC adapter included, unlike its Japanese counterpart. The new package will not include an XL-sized charging cradle, however."

I never understood the point of the charging cradle. You plug the adaptor in it, put your 3DS on it, but since your 3DS is charging where the adaptor is, why not just plug the adaptor into the 3DS?

Shake it, Quake it, Space Kaboom.

I am enjoying reading all of the posts in the past two days here, lol.

The XL will probably be a lot nicer than the first gen 3DS, as these handhelds usually just get nicer generation after generation. Remember the original DS? Pretty bulky and then they streamlined it and made it much nicer. I am sure it will just get better. Nintendo probably has another one almost ready to go as well, just loom at their history with their handheld systems. It's funny to see people get so worked up over something that is so predictable.

Get one, don't get one, whatever. Just enjoy the fucking games. That's what really matters. You are only really wasting your money if it has no good games or you buy one and don't use it.

Told you they didn't need to build the second Circle Pad in.

Okay, I really don't see how the visuals would look "better". One of these must be the case:
1: Nintendo actually did increase the resolution, and are using a downscale filter for existing titles.
2: The people who made that claim are full of shit.

I also see that no-charger thing as a blatant cost-cutting measure.

Games really did look better on the DSi than the DS, even though there's no reason they should have.

This is embarrassing, but is there a way to hard reset the 3DS VC games? I seem to be stuck on Quest 2 in SMB1. I haven't seen a Goomba in months!

dont you tap the touch screen & just hit reset?

EDIT: nevermind. its in the manual. under Clearing World 8-4.
it says to turn off your 3DS while the game is running and then restart the game from the HOME menu.

Ah, thanks. That's kinda shitty. You'd think they'd have figured out a better system for it. Like making the in-game reset option a hard reset instead of a soft reset.
