My buddy was supposed to go to Mexico for a week, but the WHO cancelled his trip. He was scared to go anyway. He was seriously telling me that he wanted to die doing something productive. Poor guy. But he's in L.A. now, so whatevs.
But hey, I CALLED IT! A big fuckton of whinyness over NOTHING. SHOCK.

There was a confirmed case of this at Sandy Creek, NY today. I loved how on the ticker they used N1H1 instead of saying Swine Flu... probably so most people didn't freak out or something. Word choice, ftw.

So I just wanted to congratulate Iraq and Afghanistan for making executive decisions in this crisis. Iraq killed all three of the country's pigs, none of which had swine flu; and Afghanistan quarantined it's ONLY FUCKING PIG. Way to go guys. Way to protect your country.
Egypt did it too. They were all 'we're gonna kill all the pigs!' and their health authority's all 'but their not infected' and Egypt's all 'we don't give a shit! Death to the pigs!' and their health authority literally said, 'if you want to kill the pigs, just go ahead. Whatever shuts you the fuck up.*'

So it turns out H1N1 is just its viral designation or whatever you want to call it. The new name is actually SOIV for Swine Originated Influenza Virus. However, I'm just going to switch between calling it Hiney and Hamthrax.
