That's been explained away as you being in an arcane meditative trance in your room at the inn.

I am trying to figure out if Syd is making the farm reference or mocking your slow connection with a high bandwidth movie. Maybe he is doing both and this is like scrabble when you make two words at the same time and happen land the triple word score. Either way, you kinda want to slap him.

Okay, here's some ideas I had to improve our progress:

* Take 10:: Instead of rolling, you just declare you're "Taking 10," bypassing a dieroll and simply adding all your modifiers to 10. And that's your outcome.
* Aid Another: If someone feels shaky about rolling (Jox), you can always say your mentor is helping you with the Strength or Craft check, which means +2 to your daily roll.
* Rage: Suntoer should stick to cutting down/clearing the forest, which calls for Strength checks. Declare you used rage during the day and your prowess will be +2 better.
* Spellcasting: Terramos and Taran can cast guidance to give the less apt members a +1 bonus on Craft checks. I think we both also have access to bull's strength for those that need a bonus to Strength checks (doesn't stack with barbarian rage however) and fox's cunning for those that need a bonus to Intelligence (which affects Craft checks). Lastly, Terramos can cast divine insight from Spell Compendium. It only affects himself but gives an insight bonus equal to 5 + caster level on a single skill check.

Sorry for the semi-necro, but can I ask if the game is still going on and the logs just aren't being posted, or did it kinda die entirely? If its still going on and there's an open spot, I'd be quite interested in joining up.

We've hit a short busy season. Once people's schedules clear up some more(including my own) we'll continuing playing.

Heh, I understand.

Are you guys still full up in terms of players? Or does the dice-and-miniature buying binge I went on today have to go to waste?

Make up a character sheet Smile We have a pretty steady group, but sometimes we're real close or just playing a real small party. The call could come any time Very Happy

What sort of minis did you get?
And go ahead and build your character. Right now, everyone's fourth level.

No offense, and I'm sure he won't say no, but shouldn't the DM be the one to invite a new player into the party?

Probably, but I'm the token female. I can do whatever I want. Razz

(And I did already talk to him and clear it with the other players too, for the record. I would never just randomly invite myself.)

Dredging up this really old thread to let everyone know that the Syd Lexia D&D group is currently looking for new members! Our group currently consists of Valdronius, Not Sure, Lottel, Ghandi, LowEndLem, Lordsathien, Dignant, and SoldierHawk... but, due to various problems, Sathien, Dignant, and Lem have been forced away, and Hawk can only show up when her duties allow her. Lately, we've been playing sessions with only 3 players, as opposed to our normal 5-7.

So, if there's anyone who feels like joining up now, let me know! We still play every Friday at midnight EST, using the Game Table program. I'm available in the #sydlexia chatroom if you have any questions, and the LexiaBot is available to be used for rolling stats. Very Happy

The only thing that ever stopped me before was having Dial-Up and working overtime. Now I have faster internet and half the hours so I am incredibly interested.

I will actually be there tonight, for the record! Sorry about the last two sessions guys. I had been planning to make it, which is why you didn't hear whiny excuses from me, but got called away at the last second both times due to a stupid fuck up with our leadership rotation. Sigh. Mucho apologies.

And as for the recruiting, yes! Join us! Its super fun good times! Very Happy

I might be interested. What edition are you guys playing? I never made the jump to 4e because I felt like I had sunk way to much money in all of my 3e books to try doing it again.

We play 3.5 edition. You can find a lot more fun info here in the wiki page. There's also a link there to a certain NWO page that new players will find very useful.

I'm back as well. I won't be able to make any Christmas Day game, but after that I don't see why not.

Yes, and I really, REALLY am for REAL back, starting on Xmas actually.

I should have been there this week, there was no reason for me not to be, but after missing a few (cough) in a row, it literally just slipped my mind. So absorbed in my book I literally lost track of time and forgot to sign in. Embarrassed Sorry guys.

So, seeing as how the last actual D&D session was over a freakin' month ago on December 4th... And how I've had numerous promises from certain people, saying they'd show up... (Hawk and Woodzy, I'm looking at you)... I'm not exactly a happy DM.

Rather than going into Angry DM mode and punishing any players that happen to show up, though, I'm offering an incentive. Any players who show up tonight get bumped up to level 6, just an instant bump, no trickery or work required.

And if we could get even more new people who want to make characters and actually play, well, that'd make me an even happier DM.

I know, I know..I've .been horrible and I feel bad. Very bad about it. I'm sorry Fern. Hopefully it won't happen again until I have an actual reason to be gone, and am not just a forgetful fucktard (I've set a weekly alarm on my phone to remind me.)

And hey, it worked tonight! If Ida known about the bump, I would have come prepared!
