The problem I see with that scenario is that SP constantly changes, just look at season 1 VS now, if it was farmed out to someone else I fear they'd have a manual to follow and would start recycling ideas over and over... |
Do you really think that CC would care if they were still pulling the ratings?

Um, has anyone even considered this is yet another cliffhanger ending that they'll resolve with the midseason premiere? Just because they poked a little fun at themselves doesn't mean they're packing it in. |
Absolutely, but this just happens to be a perfect time to talk about the show actually ending, even if it doesn't. |
Well the way I look at it if it wasn't always new and fresh and viewers didn't have that whole I have no idea what to expect where are they gonna take it this time feeling the ratings would drop. That's kind of what makes me keep up with it, I want to see what the fuck they're going to do this time so to speak.
Example, the Canadian Prince ripping the Princess's arm off and doing what he did? I did not in a million years expect that.

New episodes start tomorrow, can't wait.
"Ass-Burgers - Cartman finds a unique way of coping with Asperger's Syndrome. Even Kyle and Kenny are on board. Meanwhile, Stan cannot seem to get his life back to normal no matter what he tries."
And it sounds like it's gonna be awesome.

I don't know if this episode was ironic or brilliant.
A show about everything being shitty that in fact was shitty itself... but perhaps everything is shitty and it was simply my adventure down the rabbit hole.
Matt and Trey, if you'd told us the truth, we would've told you to shove that red pill right up your ass.

I didn't find this bad at all. It's far from their funniest, but it seems to me they were aiming much more for social commentary than humor, and they succeeded very well. This episode won't be in my top five funniest, but it's absolutely in my top five personal favorites.

There were a few great jokes. The Jameson's was pretty awesome, and the meeting of the fast food chain people. And the last minute was amazing.

The more I think about it, the more I think this is what sold me on the whole episode. Without this, it would have been okay. The last few minutes elevated it to great.
You know what's really impressed me about South Park? Although they can be as immature and scatological as ever, Trey and Matt have really matured as writers. They've turned these kids (and many of the adults) from mouthpiece stereotypes into characters I actually give a damn about. That's quite an accomplishment, given where the show started from.

Speaking of the days when South Park was just a string of popular catchphrases, Cheesy Poofs are available for a limited time at Wal*Mart, according to South Park Studios.

Ah yes. I'm afraid the Heart of Wal*Mart will eat me if I venture forth to claim some, though...

This is pretty much what I thought of it. It was a satisfactory way to resolve the cliffhanger. I'll leave it there for now.

My store has an absolute surplus of them. They are just Cheese Poofs with a different package. I still have 2 bags though.

I enjoyed it. I'm surprised it took them this long to do a Matrix episode. Making Jameson the 'blue pill' had me rollin.

So who's watching "Six Days to Air" tonight? I'm really looking forward to it. Also, this is hilarious--first time I've ever seen anyone actually recording the voices. I'd kill to see him do Cartman.

I watched it and enjoyed it. Crazy how it pretty much lands with CC only hours before it's going to air.

It was pretty interesting but didn't really tell me anything I didn't know. It was pretty hilarious watching the recordings, though.

I actually learned a lot--I had no idea what the production process was like, so I quite enjoyed seeing this. It's insane what the production schedule is like. Do those poor animators et al ever even get a day off? Because it doesn't seem like they do.
Also, agreed, the recording sessions were hilarious.

I had no idea Bill Hader wrote on the show. Weird. All he seemed to do when the cameras were rolling was repeat what Trey said and laugh.
Thought it was pretty funny when they talked about dropping acid and going to the Oscars.

"Six Days to South Park" is actually a feature on their web site. They explain a lot of it there.

I bet they do that on purpose, to an extent, just to fuck with CC.

I'll be damned--I've never seen or noticed that. Will have to check it out.
