Heh, I could usually get that one on my first go.

I was always pretty good with the Wing Cap.

This. I hate that level.

Yeah that Rainbow stage with the carpets was a pain too, I'm too impatient for that stuff.

Bumping this thread, as Xenoblade Chronicles/Monado is finally announced for Europe. Described as the best jrpg of the generation, this is awesome news. Hope for you guys that an american release is also incoming.

Yeah I'm really hoping Xenoblade and The Last Story get localized over here.

And I'm still holding out weak hope for late localizations of Trace Memory 2 (Another Code R) and Fatal Frame IV.

I'm pretty sure they will both come to America as well as Europe. However, Another Code R is probably a lost case at this point. Its a pretty decent game, but nothing special. I would gladly trade it for Baten Kaitos Origins (that we never got). However, the Fatal Frame/Project Zero-stuff is just insane on Nintendo and Techmos part. I heard the game is already fully localised, but there was a bug in the game that made Nintendo back out of publishing. And Techmo did not want to fix it, which made the game stuck in localization-hell. Hopefully something will happen to it when the localization of the next Fatal Frame comes up.

Backing up to Mario 64. I don't think the game had a high learning curve, there were just things that were way harder than others.

Also agreed that "Stupid bullshit to deal with" is subjective. For instance I think Castlevania 3 is practically unplayable because of "stupid bullshit to deal with." Doesn't necessarily mean I'm right.

Rainbow Ride was a nasty nuisance though. Especially trying to wall jump up that maze where the blue coins were.

There are a lot of what if's in life Donny. What if I hit you really hard in the face, knocked yo shit to the back of yo skull? What if I....had you girl gargle my nuts? The fact remains, you are a fuckin mutant.

Maybe it's just me, but did anyone find Super Mario Sunshine to be more frustrating than Super Mario 64? The camera and controls were improved, but some of the stars were pretty ridiculous. Off of the top of my head, the watermelon-rolling one and the platforming level where you had to be thrown in a certain direction come to mind. Those were a pain.

Yea, some of the last Shines in Sunshine got pretty crazy. Also, although the water pack was kinda an eyesore, I loved the mechanics it added to Mario's jumping game.

The only reason I think we might see Another Code R or Fatal Frame IV is that they'd be easy to do and they'd pad out the 2011 release schedule.

Agreed. I really miss this feature in the other 3D-Mario games, makes jumping so much more convenient. They should have a few FLUDD-themed levels in Galaxy 3 imo.

And the worst Shine for me was that pinball-machine or whatever it was, it was just pure luck that I finally nailed it on mye probably 200ed try or something like that.
