I finally just wandered off through the woods and found a place to buy a harp. I lost my dog somewhere on the way but he wasn't doing anything anyway. I set up a macro to make it auto calm crap I targeted so now I'm playing music at random wildlife while watching a movie.

I'm on now, crafting and BS. I can't get into the shockwave since I'm not approved. My two chars are Atma and Kilkelus, Kilkelus is macroing though and I probably won't see the message.

They only buy some things, not all of them.

Beach Bum, what are you doing to make money? I've heard that taming and selling pack horses will make you decent cash (if your taming is good enough to get them). There's always a few NE of Vesper. Just cross that upper bridge then head straight to the right... there's usually a few. Tame one and take it back to the bank and try to sell it. Once a guy gives you the cash type 'transfer' and give em the horse. (OR you may have to type '[horse's name] transfer'... its been awhile so I don't remember Smile

)

EDIT: I'll hop on in about 45 minutes if anyone wants to play. I'm macroing at Vesper bank now. Look for William Shatner. (though I'm macroing hiding so maybe you won't see me... but I'm there)

I hear ya... Its been pretty brutal to make money. I've been making leather armor out of animal hides and that gets me a couple hundred gold per run.

I've also heard that mining/blacksmithing is really profitable. So is lumberjacking with either carpentry or bowcraft.

Are you guys in Britain? I'd get outta there. That place is waaay overpopulated right now and you can't find any resources anywhere. If you can, come to Vesper and we can hunt animals/monsters together and I'll split my leather profits. I'm doing another run in about 20 minutes (2:00 EST). I'll be macroing at the bank until then.

And I don't know what to say about shockvoice. I've been sitting there all day and still haven't gotten accepted yet. My only guess is that the admin isn't around.

ok, if they're being A-holes then lets do our own guild. I've got a few other friends playing so we'd have close to 10 guys which is pretty solid.

I've never done IRC... someone give me a link with instructions to sign up and I'll get in there. As long as Syd doesn't mind us using for UO Smile

Hey guys I just want you to know I'll be on in a minute on the vent server, but I can't talk today. My throat is so sore that it hurts to speak so I'll just be listening and we will have to be close to each other so I can type to respond.

In response to what I was trying to sell. Leather strips and meat. No one would take it. I eventually just made a second account and handed it everything and made a shit ton of goods and sold those to vendors even though I only got like 2g per item. I needed the money for instruments. I have been taming pack horses when I can find them but they are pretty darn rare and there are tamers out looking for them constantly so it is hard to snag one. I haven't sold any yet because my pack llama got murdered by a gargoyle and I gave the only packhorse to my lumberjack/leatherworker account to carry all his crap around to get me money.

I've found blacksmithing turns out pretty good if you have a pack animal to carry your ore around.

Most things sell for 5-10gp.

Good news. My RL buddy Tom basically had a weekend blacksmithing marathon and we were able to buy a house. So since this stuff with TRI isn't going so well we just need a guildstone and we can start our own guild. We can use skype or the IPY vent server to communicate. I was in it with Beach Bum last night and it wasn't very crowded so that shouldn't be an issue.

Any objections?

Any thoughts for our 3 letter guild abbreviation? I was thinking 'NES' but I'm open to suggestions.

That is cool. We could do NES or SYD. The vent server seemed to work fine and for a public one we didn't even have anyone try to troll us. That will probably work best for me because I'm much more familiar with Vent, and have never used skype. :O

Oh, Found Tear Kite Shields (exceptional) take 8 iron ingots and sell for 15gp and a 50skill blacksmith has a 71% chance of making an exceptional one and 100% of making a regular. Non exceptional ones still sell for 12gp each.

Good stuff.

Also, heads up, reds have been chilling inside the Minoc cave, blocking the entrance, and as soon as you walk in, you push through losing your stamina, and are stuck with about 3 of them. Gank you, take your ingots/gold/kill your pack animal.

Didn't happen to me, but watched them do it to about 4 or 5 people.

Yeah there was a grey guy who tried to kill my pack horse by the minoc moongate earlier but the horse and 3 timber wolves tore him apart lol.
