Just to clear things up Syd, is the Konami Code just a metaphor for bringing along the The Rabbit?
Loved the article.

That was excellent. The best article I've read in a while. It's so good, I'm going to post it on Facebook.
A great side benefit is that now I won't be able to NOT think about COntra during sex, but that'll help me last longer... maybe. It's hard to say, because Contra is pretty damn boneuriffic.

Um, am I crazy, or is this not up on the main page? Its up on News, but on the main page all I see is the Impossible Mission review....
I'll edit in my comments on the article in a sec when I finish reading it, just wanted to give you a heads up its missing on the front page.
EDIT: Either I was doing something wrong, someone saw this really fast, or the internets read my mind, but its fixed now.
Anyway, great article Syd. If more people learned to focus their energy on that little circular thing, the world would be a better place.

It was most likely a caching problem on your end, where your browser didn't check for a newer version of the main page. It is a very rare occurence that something is announced on the news page before the main page, but it's happened before. There was also at least one time where an article was announced on the forums because I didn't have time to update the main page before I went to work.

You have to add it to your daily diet, and it takes about 3 days to start working, but yeah.

I particularly enjoyed number five, got the most snickers out of me if not just for the title.

I'll be honest, it didn't do it for me.
Maybe it was the fact that an article about "fucking like a porn star" turns me off regardless of what it's really about.

I have a friend who loves Contra and has a multitude of sexual inadequacies.
I'm hoping that by linking him to this article, it'll help him nail more community college girls.

Seriously, Syd, I would suggest changing the name of the article, at the very least on the front page. Some of us browse at places where the words "Fucking like a porn star" could get us in trouble.

I would love to see it stay the way it is as well. Don't let anything you write be bowdlerized unless it offends multiple people which I highly doubt is the case here.

I could tone down the title on the main page and leave the real title in the article. That way people can load the main page work without the words fucking and porn appearing in giant letters.

Or you could just let it be and not disrupt the integrity of your vision.

Yeah, I don't think it's worth changing. At any moment my boss can walk in and see Hardcore Donkey Punch in flashing lights anyway.

I would recommend not putting swears in your titles, but that is just my opinion. As the author you shouldn't let people sway you too much. If you felt that you needed the title to be what it was to put across a certain point, then those are your words to command.
I did enjoy the article and gave quite a few laughs while reading it.
