As I've made apparent I am a Detroit Lions "fan". I say fan because once they got to 0-8 I started to root against them in every facet possible. I actually want them to go 0-16 simply for the fact that they won't be able to do any worse next year no matter what. We are 1-21 in the past 22 games and I actually find myself enjoying it. I swear to god if for some reason they start doing good over the next couple decades and someone calls me bandwagon I will punch them in the throat.
My friends and family keep telling me to pick a new team, but I say nay. Anyone ever been in my situation?

I'm a 49ers fan, and we haven't been so hot since Young retired.

Boo-hoo! The 49ers have won 5 Superbowls in my lifetime. Not that my team (Denver) has been that bad either. But in all fairness, Detroit has been garbage for several decades.

Lions, Indians, Cavaliers, Buckeyes, and it figures the team I enjoy watching the most is the one that can't win a single game. The indians exploded last year the Cavs actually have my attention, and if the Bucks don't handle Texas I might have to just quit watching College FootBall altogether.
Detroit went undefeated in the pre-season and then completely defeated in the regular season. It's the worst when thats my defense when people say "have they ever one a game?". Fucking Ford, I hope he chockes on all that bailout money.

Well, the White Sox couldn't get past the first round of the playoffs my entire life until '05, and the Bears haven't won a super bowl in over 20 years. Meanwhile, the Blackhawks have missed the playoffs for about ten years or so, and haven't won the cup in about 40 years.
Cheer up, you have a chance against Green Bay next week, and there is no where else to go but up. Although, as a divisional rival, I hope to get two easy victories from you each season.

But what happened this year, eh? I was saying that I would like you guys to remain bad so that can repeat again next year. The Packers & Vikings rivalries are more of a priority for me. Haven't really feared the Lions since Sanders left.
Besides, out of the past few seasons, last year was a huge exception: 2005-08, Bears are 6-2 against the Lions.

I am a Blazer fans, so I know your pain. We either suck, or we are awesome but always choke when it counts. We haven't won a championship since 1977.

Let them have their perfect season. Reminds me of some commercial for 1-800-Collect or Call ATT or some such crap. anyway some guy was trying to bowl a perfect game and did it all by getting 0 points all with gutter balls.

I want them to be the worst team ever, it's going to force people to change things up. Sadly I heard on ESPN radio last night that Ford had said, "Even if we go 0-16 that doesn't mean there will be a complete clean up of this team" I swear if Marinelli is still back as head coach I will cry. He seems like a nice guy but jesus, his eye for talent is pretty bad. Aside from Kevin Smith and Megatron, we really have no one else on Offense. Oh and detroit is only like a 100+ games below .500 in their history as a team.

As a Jets fan for the past few years, its nice to see them actually do something this year, granted its all because of Favre, but hey, Jets are winning.

Offer void in Pacific Time Zone.

Thou, because I am wroth, be not dismayed, for I shall win the strife, whoever circle round within for the defence. This their insolence is not new, for of old they used it at a less secret gate, which still is found without a bolt. Above it thou didst see the dead inscription; and already on this side of it
descends the steep, passing without escort through the circles,
One such that by him the city shall be opened to us. |

Or in cold weather. Favre's body is way too old to deal with winter anymore.

well, im a raiders fan, and ever since the BS tuck rule, we have sucked ass.
the lakers were relatively rough to watch in the early 90's w/anthony peeler and nick van exel. they were still exciting, but compared to showtime of the 80's, it was a little rough.
dodgers have been decent as far as i can remember. granted i havent followed baseball as much as basketball or football, but still. havent heard terrible things about them.

There's a great example of how it could be worse Douche. At least you were able to fire your GM already this year. The Raiders are still owned and run by Al Davis who is too senile and insane to run the team well. I respect the football philosophy and history of the Raiders, so I really feel sorry for that team. They almost went 0-16 a couple years ago I think, too.

Great time to a Giants fan here, but a terrible time to be a Knicks fan... and once they get Marbury out, then they'll completely suck.

Did you forget we are run by Ford? Ford is one of the biggest idiots I have ever witnessed. Atleast Al Davis although extremely horrible can muster together enough fans to not have 5 STRAIGHT blackout games, and a couple wins throughout the season.

I hate the Raiders. As a die hard Denver fan, they are easily my least favorite team. Although, San Diego and their fairweather fans who only come out when their team is good are challenging Oakland for that position.
On one hand, Al Davis, because he got it right for a while (or was lucky enough to have coaches that were good enough soon enough to keep their job), thinks he is God's gift to football, when really everyone knows he is why the team sucks. I've heard plenty of stories from players saying that he would come to practice and change the coaches gameplan, and then, blame the coach for it not working. If he would stay out of it, that would be one thing. But when you are active in the on field decisions, you have to share the blame with the coaching staff.
On the other hand, Oakland isn't as bad this year as people seem to think they are. In fact they aren't that different from Denver. While Denver has a solid young group of players on offense that can be inconsistent, but still has a lot of potential, but has an awful defense, Oakland has a pretty solid cast on defense. They just need to get something going on offense. When it comes down to it, this season, Denver isn't as good as their record, and Oakland isn't as bad as their record.
I think the main difference as to why Denver is able to do well and Oakland isn't is that fucking Al Davis.

Isn't this the first time in about ten years that they've been any good, just like the Blackhawks?
