I was wondering if anyone would be interested in starting a little league or a tournament in Brawl.

Many people have Brawl and are able to play (vide http://history.sydlexia.com/index.php?title=Wii_Numbers/Codes), so we might as well do it competitevily.

Also, some of you might have Tivos or DVD recorders. Those of you might be useful for recording our fights and posting them to Youtube or something like that.

So, anyone interested?

I am, even though I haven't touched the game since April. I need to dig up my code I guess.

ike is actually pretty simple to beat. you just have to wait until that horrible stagger after his attacks starts and hit him hard (really easy with samus)

Yea but someone who is real good can time his f-smash very precisely despite its lag, and that move has unbelievable power, priority and range. Not to mention the horizontal recovery he can get from his side B attack, fuck that. I reiterate, fuck Ike.

I need to get my hands on some way to connect online with my Wii (no wireless router here) but once that's set I'm game. Any stipulations? I'd like for items to be allowed simply because Brawl, for me, is about fun and not obliterating everyone in 2 minutes.

I haven't picked up this game for a damn long while, but I might give it a shot. I don't know, Brawl online kind of blows.

I'm fine with any rules as long as we all don't play as Fox on Final Destination.

Yeah, none of this gay "NO ITEMS IS HOW THE GAME WAS MEANT TO BE PLAYED! FINAL DESTINATION!!!" bullshit.

I like playing with no items because I feel there's less chance and more skill involved, though I do enjoy playing with items as well. Without items, it's more of a chessic experience for me.

I'd be down for SSBB, but I recently had to sell my Wii to make rent. v_v It sucks, but I plan on getting one again once I have some monies. I still have the game, and that's not going anywhere... maybe.

QFT. I hate playing with items, they are fun at first, but the novelty of them wears off over time and they just become annoying.

Okay, I finally got my Wii up and running. Let's do this thing.

Everyone that wants to be in the league, please post add yourself to the wiki page. http://history.sydlexia.com/index.php?title=Sydlexia.com%27s_Super_Smash_Bros._League

At first, we're fighting in pairs, as in, I fight the next person who adds themselves to the league, the third one waits for the fourth person and so on. Later we're challenging people above us on the leaderboard, and them only. Match times are to be announced in this thread.

That's all, I think. Happy brawling.

What are rules regarding items, stock and such?? I have to send my wii in to get fixed, it doesn't run brawl for some reason, despite it being flawless.

Why, oh why must my router be such an ass? It has never worked for SSBB. My sisters DS can get online, and so can Mario Kart Wii, but SSBB? Noooooo.

Glad you asked. We're playing five-minute matches with default rules regarding items and such, on random levels. We may select any character we like.

I'm also thinking of having monthly league resets - if we didn't have these, newbies would have a hard time catching up to the rest of the players.

Add yourselves to the Sydapedia page, then.

Completely unrelated fact: it seems that nobody can connect to WFC now. Something about an 61070 error.

I'll do it as long as items are on high. I'm not doing any of that "NO ITEMS! FOX ONLY! FINAL DESTINATION!" crap.

I like playing 3 minute matches because you can always record the footage unless it goes to sudden death.
