I'm looking to expand my comfort zone of foods, because I'm tired of eating the same 5 or 6 meals all the damn time. Suggestions?

If you're looking for a quick, delicious lunch, get some thick-cut Virginia Baked ham, cheddar cheese, and spicy brown mustard. Apply a liberal amount of mustard to one slice of toasted bread, assemble the rest of the sandwich, and chow down. Delicious and fast.

Also, lasagna fucking rocks.

I eat instant ramen, apples, and sunflower seeds. Well usually and if I remember to buy some.

I'm so bananas I'm showing up to your open casket,
to fill it up with explosive gases,
and close it back,
with a lit match in it,
while I sit back, and just hope it catches.

Blow you to fragments,
laugh,
roll you, and smoke the ashes.

What are the 5 or 6 meals you are having? I might have some ideas.

basic stuff like spaghetti, chili, ravioli, pizza etc. (Lots of pasta- Italian food is freakin' sweet).

sides vary from (usually) nothing to potatoes au gratin to other basic stuff, like peas and corn.

I am usually VERY hesitant to try new foods, because I'm pretty picky. But I'm trying to change that so I can have a little more variety.

BLT never gets old for me. Sheppards pie is pretty B.A. too.
Also, Mexican food kicks ass in general e.g. nachos, fajitas, burritos, quessadillas etc.

That is what I was gonna say. Fajitas are like the easiest thing in the world to make. They are awesome and fill your ass up.

Chicken wings are kick ass too. I've won two different wing cook offs with two different recipes.

If you like to use the grill, you've got tons of easy eats right there.

I usually just use whatever I have around and get creative. I always start off with some onions in some oil. Then I throw in the garlic, then the chicken. From there I just get creative.

Right now, I have hardly anything to eat at all. Right now I am cooking a Lipton Aisian Sides Chicken Fried Rice, chicken nuggets, and leftover sweet and sour sauce and combining them to make a cheap ass version of sweet and sour chicken.

Oh don't get me wrong, I've tried a fair number of things, but I rarely like new things. I sort of go in expecting to dislike most things, so that negative attitude is probably a big part of the problem. That's something that's hard to change, too.

Anyway, thanks for the suggestions guys. this is reminding me of more than a few foods I already knew I liked, but just never think to cook/buy.

Chicken pot pie is another one I should eat more often.

any of those: cook and/or eat at a restaurant. Plus just remember old foods I haven't had in a while.

You could also take foods you already eat and change it up a little. When you eat spaghetti, do you buy sauce in a jar, or make it? I've got a kick ass recipe, assuming you like the ingredients.

I fuckin' hate fried chicken. Surprise, right?

I like Soul food, Spanish food, Italian (of course-- I was stoned to shit once and ended up eating 3 whole pizza pies), Mexican (who doesn't love quesadillas?), instant ramen (I could live off that shit if I wanted), heros (I loves me somes ham and cheese), apples and grapes.

I sound like a real fatass right now.

But you still like watermelon, right? This Is A Joke

But seriously, reading all that food is making me hungry (and I'm eating right now). Three pizzas could be impressive depending on what size they were.

Damn smoking weed makes me eat a lot too (but that's a common side affect) but I eat random shit so it's kind of scary basicly whatever I find: cerial, cheese and crackers, apples, peanut butter sandwiches, cookies, ramen, oranges, celery, bananas, carrots, hot dogs, pickles and those budget noodles (they`re like ramen but taste like cardboard) sometimes in one retarded meal (well some combination of that) soon I might eat a combination that will kill me.

For some reason weed makes me less pickey when eating.

And how can anyone dislike fried chicken or watermelon?

Try Jamaican food it's fucking awesome I personally like jerk chicken, beef patties, and ox tail.

I've really taken a liking to sushi (just don't have any with raw or partially cooked tuna, the FDA's trying to shut that down due to the Mercury content being toxic enough to be fatal if you have it twice within a 3 week period).

If you're feeling squeamish about something, you can always just get some nigiri with an ingreident you're unsure of. I tried unagi (eel) and think I need to try it again since the initial opinion was it tasted of baby (hope some fans of Eddie Izzard catch the reference).

I remember when I was younger and they first came out with grape gatorade. We would drink like some of it, then fill it back up with sugar. I got so sick from drinking that all the time that I haven't been a fan of grape gatorade ever since. I do like grapes though.

I like everything you listed, but prefer it in blue. Blue Otterpops are the best. It sucks because where I'm from, sometimes you can find Otterpops, but not usually.

Fried chicken is awesome. In fact, I'm going to KFC for lunch. They don't have grape kool-aid though, so I'll have to settle for something else.

I've tried it, I thought I could too. I have added cheese to it, I've added chili to it, potatoes...chicken...it does get old trust me!

I'm probably the most picky eater here I bet. I can't eat salad, I hate pretty much all vegetables with very few exceptions. I'm a meat and Potatoes kinda guy. Maybe when your done helping Mitch you could help me out Laughing GRILLED CHEESE and Tomato soup FTW.
