I just want to point out in some games there are enemies that are to annoying, not to say they are hard to beat but if you see this type of enemy you usually avoid them instead of trying to kill, for example:

Big Bertha, in SMB3 1 of my most hated enemies ever the worst part is when you kill it it re-spawns in like 10 seconds. I'm talking about the the ones that are in world 3 (3-3 3-8 )

Lakitu and Spineys also a pain in my ass. As well as Bloopers (all in SMB3)

Zoras in the first Zelda are also kind of annoying (if you're in a crowd fighting no time to dodge fireballs)

In SMB2 the mask that attacks you when you get the key really used to scare the crap out of me when I first started playing the game (mind you I was 3). Now I just find them annoying.

I'm so bananas I'm showing up to your open casket,
to fill it up with explosive gases,
and close it back,
with a lit match in it,
while I sit back, and just hope it catches.

Blow you to fragments,
laugh,
roll you, and smoke the ashes.

Mega Man level baddies that hit you when you need to jump.

I remembered, probably the most annoying enemy I have ever seen (personally) is the Dinofols in the second Zelda game, the ones that through the rocks at you from behind the wall. There are many reasons that they are annoying first u can't kill them let alone hurt them (well you might if you use the thunder spell I never tried). Another reason is as if they didn't just throw rocks aimlessly, they have incredible accuracy! This is one of the main reasons I never finished that game.

In Mega Man (X3 at least) there was one part where i was trying to find a secret where if you just barely went right too far, these bats would respawn and fly at you. the respawning enemies can be great for getting health though Smile

but yeah, ANY respawning enemies (at one point or another) in any of the the Mega Man games

As far as Megaman X goes I didn't like the spikey tires that appeared in the ice lvl when you shoot them (unless you charge your shot) they will slide into you.

I pretty much hated those guys w/the hard hats that attack you when your not looking not too annoying but damn attacking from behind that's not very nice.

Another somewhat annoying character that is cheap is Boo Diddy from SMB3 he also attacks from behind.

All I'm saying is watch your back there are annoying enemies out there.

Everything in the Great Palace on Zelda II.

Tomb Vipers in Diablo 2.

The cannons and baseball kids in Paperboy 2.

More to come I'm sure.

The Arch Vile from Doom II.

Those fucking hands in Zelda that take you back to the beginning of the dungeon.

Krang in the original TMNT arcade game, because of that "INVINCIBLE!" bullshit.

Those enemies in the Kirby games who look like red flying Kirbys, but then if you try to suck them in or turn your back, they turn into the fucking devil.

The hands in zelda are known as "Wallmasters". And they creep me out.

You do have to kill them, but I would still put my vote towards the harpies in God of War II. On titan mode, they take like a quarter of your health, they give nothing, and kill your combos.

I agree. The harpies suck my ass, but I think the archers are more annoying and those bomb throwing guys when you are fighting the big cyclops doods, those are VERY annoying.

In LTTP I hated the Gibbos those fucking mummies that had a lot of health, didn't get stunned, and fucking hurt if you touched them (on a side note you could kill them quickly with Bombos or Ether).

Beamos where annoying too, more so in LTTP. I'm talking in Gannons tower in the room that spins with ice and spikes. I almost always get hit by at least 1 of those Beamos and hit of a wall 'cause of the ice and loose more health because of those damn spikes.

In OoT the Wallmasters and Floormasters are sometimes invisible and yes they are even more annoying.

Any enemy that has a better than average change of performing a status change (i.e. poison, confuse, etc.) on your character(s).

I once wore a ribbon to school because I thought it would protect me from the cold that was going around. It may protect from status abnormalities, but provides no protection from physical damage. *Tear*

Like the third form of Dark Falz in PSO. That fight would be 50000x quicker if the invincible bits never happened.

Depends on how tight you tie it.
