I'm excited about this, but for the love of god, they need to quit jerking us off and just make the goddamn game.

This game better be released on every platform ever, with the kind of development schedule it has had.

I'm surprised you guys even care about Duke Nukem anymore, what's so awesome about Duke that other games haven't done better since the original, crappy, Doom with different enemies game? Is it his wit? Every game hero is a smart-ass who cracks jokes in the middle of battle these days. The adult oriented themes? Every game has those too. Duke Nukem games are entirely forgettable and have been outdone in every area by a million games since, why does anyone even care? Just because they've been saying it'll be released next month for 6 years? If so, then I'm going to start the most successful game company ever by announcing that all our titles will be released the day after the company is founded, then take seven years to release anything, all the while telling fans the games will be out next month everytime they ask.

I am getting ready to move, so I am going through boxes at home. In one of them, was the Oct 2000 issue of Computer Gaming World. In the letters section, somebody asked if they made a typo in a prior issue when stating that Duke Nuke'em Forever would be released in the Fall of 2008. They said that they were only joking.
But, now, 7 years later... They might have been right.
Weird, huh?

There's always room on this planet for sequels that don't flip out and change casts and go straight to DVD.
That said, Duke Nukem 4EVER will not be as good as Rambo 4. I also realize you cannot fairly compare a movie and a game. Especially when neither one has been released.

The trailer fails, but only because Duke didn't say, "Damn, those alien bastards gonna pay for fucking up my weight bench."

Totally.

i got mine when i was like 6 or 7 or something. it had the first two games on one mega shareware cd. like 80 games total including original doom wolfenstein etc. but the first two dukes were easily my fave. the weird little gun that never changed just sorta shot longer? or the fact that you can destroy your health powerups. shooting a soda can and watching it fly away caused many future problems in my household.

as far as I'm concerned, the duke nukem that we got with duke nukem 3d IS duke nukem.
thinking of duke as duke nukum would be like looking at birdie from street fighter and seeing a white guy.
