So I was thinking we could do a game developer death pool. Bet on which companies will fold in 2013. Not sure on how scoring will work though. Maybe one point for each year the company existed, with a minimum point value of 1? I'm open to ideas.

Real pick? Capcom. (Not really, but seriously, they're blowing it)

Wish list? Square Enix.

Can we pick game company employees?

I'm not a bad enough dude, but I am an edgy little shit. I'll do what I can.

Square Enix won't go away, they'll just merge with someone else like Bethesda and become Squarenixthesda.

I appreciate the enthusiasm, but we haven't even finalized the rules/premise!

I'm picking Nintendo. Highly unlikely, sure, but 124 points oughta win this thing outright.

I think sideway was trolling. Can think of no reason Atlus would fold. Aksys... maybe. But they're only a publisher. Maybe expand it to both pubs and devs?

Also, I'm thinking you get five initial picks and can replace when one dies.

Not sure about scoring though. Do we like my initial suggestion?

I'm about to troll too. I don't give a shit who goes under. All the games I like came out years ago.

Sure, we can go with the initial scoring suggestion, but add a five point subtraction for each video game company still in business that you suggested.

And yeah, you should expand it to both publishers and developers.

You already knew, they filed on the 19th, and released a statement a month ago saying they were on the verge of bankruptcy.

Bankruptcy isn't instant death. Midway hung on at least a year after bankruptcy.

True. But it is an indicator for a company to probably crash. I think that is legit. HuffnPuff deserves the points.

I wish I had been that clever. I just was behind on the news and didn't find out until last night.

That statement is a paradox. If he should listen to me, than you are smart. On the other hand you say you are not.

My picks would have to be Microsoft, Sony, Activision and EA. They can all eat shit and die and I wouldn't give one thousandth of a fuck.

As much as I like Konami, my bet might actually be on them.
