Saw this in the theater. I think the guy playing Thor seems far too wimpy and not nearly Godly enough, and the hammer is way too small. It looks like he's swinging around a fucking Play Skool toy.

1. Yeah, the guy's in good shape. But look at his face. He looks like a frightened child, not a fucking god.
2. I don't care about the actual Norse mythos, as that's not the source material for this movie. Afterall, "real" Thor wasn't part of the Avengers. The tiny hammer looks vaguely gay. Second, meet Thor and Ultimate Thor. You'll notice their weapons. While the regular hammer is smaller than the ultimate one, it's still a decent size.


It's particularly worth noting that the costume as well as everything they've done in the movies except for the Spider-Man movies is like the ultimate universe, not the regular universe, so it makes sense they'd go more for that design.

How am I losing the argument? I said Thor looks unimpressive, because I think it does. Since it's a matter of opinion, it's impossible to win or lose the argument. I only lose this argument if I see the movie, but I have no desire to see some pussy who we're supposed to believe is a god.
