Macy's in my area is open at 4 a.m. Kohl's is open at 3 a.m.

For those people assinine enough to be at fucking *Kohl's* at 3 a.m. Photobucket

Seriously. What is wrong with people? I get (sort of) being somewhere that early for, you know, a super high priced big ticket item (like a computer or appliance) that's on sale for super cheap, but Macy's and Kohl's? Especially THAT early? I don't fuckin' hardly think so, dude.

I went to Walmart one year for 5am, honestly, to people watch. It was the most disappointed I have ever been in people as a whole. People were yelling and screaming over big items like the advertised $199 xbox360...which they had 2 of. I'm talking screaming matches for them in the middle of the electronics dept. Another one, a really nice digi frame when they were still fairly new for a real good deal. They had a good deal of them, BUT, I saw several people with fucking stacks of them while others just wanted one for a gift. You greedy fucks. Meh, I can't go on, pissing me off.

I've read that Wal-Mart is having a deal with those red Wiis but I can't find concrete confirmation of what the deal is. Some say it's the console plus an extra control/nunchuck, some say it's that plus two more games, some say it's with a 50 dollar gift card. Anybody know for sure what the deal is and what time it starts? That's the only black friday item I'm going out for unless someone here knows of a better deal.

I got my 15" laptop last year for only $320 and it was weeks after Black Friday. Rather than show up at the store super early in a line outside during a holiday, I just looked up Best Buy's website one day, found a laptop at that price and went to the store to get it (they didn't have one in online warehouse stock, but meh), and I didn't even have to wait in a long line. When I hear about people in the news on Black Friday lining up outside the store in the early morning, I can't help but think to myself "Man, what suckers". Black Friday is so overrated.

It's not the best laptop in the world, but it's definitely a great buy. It's a Toshiba Satellite L455 with a 15.6" widescreen monitor, 250GB hard drive, Intel Celeron 900 CPU, 2GB RAM and Windows 7. For $300 that's pretty damn good, I don't need anything better than that. I also like how it uses a dial to adjust the volume which for me feels more practical than using buttons. I'm using it right now and it still works just as well as the day I bought it. Toshiba makes the best cheap computers, much higher quality than Dell.

You want a really good deal? The internet is your friend. Fuck Black Friday.

I just looked at the mailer. Epic Mickey and extra controller set with the red wii bundle for $250. Pretty sweet value.

I've seen news stories about people camping out several days in advance for the sales, pathetic in my opinion.

I have to work from 3AM to 6PM at Radio Shack in the local mall, I'll give everyone a post-game show when I get home to watch the greatest weekend to watch football in the state of Michigan, the high school football state championships.

I have never participated in Black Friday. I don't feel like having my eyes torn out by some 80 year old woman who decided she needs discounted candles.

My store is a furniture store, and it opens at the normal 10 AM time.

Except instead of working 4-9, I work 930 to 9.

Hate.

Heh heh heh. I'm just glad I don't work at McDonald's on Black Friday. After the almost emptiness of Thanksgiving, Black Friday is going to be like Fast Food Hell.

That...was...horrible... Every other unloader chose to work 12-9PM. I couldn't do that, so I was stuck working my normal 4PM-1AM shift. All I can say is they made the right choice.

At 10PM people started lining up for laptops that came out at 5AM. Nobody bothered to tell the 30+ people that we only had 11 of them.

I was sent to grab carts from outside. There were none. They were all being used. I actually had to grab the broken carts from behind the store and start handing them out. People were actually using carts with only 3 wheels.

This was bad. I have no idea why people put up with this stuff.

Me either. The internet has completely eliminated any need for that kind of stupidity.

I was thinking about ordering a table-saw online today from Lowes. Sold out at 7am.

How does the internet sell out?

That red Wii bundle at Walmart was sold out online last night so I was forced to go out. I get to Walmart and they told me they sold out immediately because they only had 2. Then I went to another Walmart and they said they never got any. What the hell kind of bullshit is that? But man oh man, they had plenty of Justin Bieber CDs everywhere. They made damn sure they got the Justin Bieber CDs. Why advertise shit if you can't properly stock it?

Anyway, went to Gamestop and got the red Wii (they had an assload, go figure) but there wasn't any kind of bundle deal with it. The black and white Wiis came with Just Dance 2 for free. Needless to say, I was not swayed.

The only thing relatively close to a store I'll be going near today is the gas station, and I'm only buying gas, possibly cigarettes (I've cut down to half a pack a day). Wild horses couldn't drag me into any retail store today. Of course, I'm also trying to avoid a three hour drive to the inlaws, so I may have to find a place where I can pick up some Ipecac on the sly and then slip it to the wife somehow. Suggestions?

Oh Man. I was gonna swing into Best Buy on my way home from work and pick up Kick Ass for $6... bad idea. The usually 10 minute drive took an hour. I'd guess that roughly 50% of the traffic was caused by people waiting to turn into the Best Buy parking lot. To make things worse, when I got into visual range, I saw that the parking lot was completely full and all the lanes were clogged with cars waiting for other people to leave so they could park. I decided it wasn't worth it and got the hell out of there. Crazy shit.
