I didn't even know they were making a Hangover 2. It can't be as funny as the 1st one. The 1st one was epic.
And why the hell would Mel Gibson be in that?

If they use Mel Gibson properly (flying into rages, beating up strippers and picking fights with Ed Helms for being Jewish), I could see it being pretty funny.

I would pay money just to hear him say "give me back my son!" for an hour and a half.

He should clearly appear in voice only in a voice mail.

Seriously? Hangover 2? I thought the original was good, but I have no clue how they will make a sequel to it.

I want to see him as the main character, clearly intoxicated the entire time.

While I don't condone his actions nor the idea of a sequel to a movie I didn't find to be that funny, I have to say this might be a good PR move on Mel's part. It shows he can poke fun of himself and maybe have a gleam of redemption for all the stupid crap he's said over the last few years.

Mel Gibson is an alcholic perhaps?
Say what you want about Mel Gibson. but he is a damn fine actor!

I'm so bananas I'm showing up to your open casket,
to fill it up with explosive gases,
and close it back,
with a lit match in it,
while I sit back, and just hope it catches.
Blow you to fragments,
laugh,
roll you, and smoke the ashes.
It'll be good for him to try to make a joke out of all the negative media issues that have been raised about him. Hopefully, win over the audience a bit.
Wow...the cast is fucking stupid. The shred of interest that I had in this movie is now gone. Thanks a lot, you fucks!

Yeah fuck them for not wanting to work with a anti-semetic quick to anger crazy person. That will kill the movie.

Who said he was quick to anger? I've never heard any horror stories about people who worked with him on set. What he does in his spare time is his business. He's made some mistakes with his comments in his private life, but that doesn't mean he should be blacklisted for it.

One studio worker in his 20s suggested that there was a generational divide between older execs and the audience at which the "Hangover" movies are aimed.
"Our generation doesn't really care about most of what (Gibson) said," said the worker. "To the people going to the movie, he's just another wacky celebrity."

I would assume that would be hours of tapes of him exhaustively screaming at his wife. Mel has several times now had to oppurtunity to make amends and he has several times made crass remarks. Now as amusing at it may have been to see him maybe getting pulled will let him get some help.

People who have worked on set with Mel Gibson have said he's a bit of a prankster, but otherwise easy to get along with.
It's easy to get angry at someone you've spent a long time with. If you've ever been in a long term relationship, you'd understand. Anyone would be quick to anger after 20 years, especially since his wife was apparently trying to extort money from him. And let's not act like he's the only celebrity to make outrageous remarks. Now when he starts beating up people or picking fights with the lighting crew while on set, yes then he would be out of control.

Mel Gibson being in Hangover 2 makes seemingly no sense. However, if you said Mike Tyson was going to be in The Hangover (without it being in the trailer, obviously), we would've thought it made no sense. Same with Bill Murray as himself in Zombieland. Or Charlton Heston in Wayne's World. Lots of things don't really seem like there's a reason for it, but they're awesome.

Mel was only dating the women in question, Oksana Grigorieva, for a couple of years. His ex-wife, Robyn, filed for divorced from him in 2009 after 29 years of marriage, and they had been separated since 2006. No specific reason was ever given for the divorce, but the rumor mill said that it was infidelity on Mel's part. However, Robyn was quick to come to his defense when the allegations from Oksana surfaced, and she signed a sworn affadavit that she was never physically or verbally abused by Mel.
No one here said they wouldn't watch the movie if he was in it, aside from atma. The situation seems to be that various people in the film, likely the actors, don't want him in it. Now since he hasn't been a trouble maker on sets in the past then it's likely that these people haven't worked with him before and are going off public opinion.
So he needs to do what he can to rebuild his image. He had a chance before when he was promoting his movie but when his past remarks were brought up he suddenly became the victim.

I don't feel bad for Mel. He's got hundreds of millions of dollars. He didn't need to act in "The Hangover," he lives it. P.S. that first movie wasn't even good. He was never a super-respected actor, but he's won awards for directing. Go do that. Roman Polanski raped a 13 year old and he still wins awards...
