So I was watching The Square last night, decent little murder mystery movie, but a few things confused the hell out of me.
1. Why are mullets still popular in Australia?
2. Who or what killed the dog when it was swimming in that lake?
Feel free to clue me in, and add anything from a movie that confused you.

Oh yeah, that's a doozie, If he sends Kyle Reese back in time to protect his mother and Reese knocks her up and becomes his father, doesn't the original Conner cease to exist?

Kind of. "The Square" is the sequel to "The Line". It was a trilogy.

Alice in Wonderland. Although I'm sure people will say it's not supposed to make sense. I still love that Cheshire Cat, though.

It always bothers me how in Robocop, no one ever thinks to shoot him in the face. Also, RC hardly ever arrests anyone. On his average patrol shift, he kills about 40 people. But then again.....it is Detroit.

Shooting Robocop in the face would do nothing. He's a robot.

He's technically a cyborg. He has robotic parts, fused with organic materials. He has a functioning brain. Shooting him in the face could kill him.
Along similar lines, how about in any movie where a dude has armor (I'm thinking specifically of Iron Man here) and in the middle of the fight they pop up their faceplate to say something. I know it's so the actor can get some face time in the middle of a climactic battle, but in reality it's a really dumb move.
At the end of Iron Man 2, Mickey Rourke's helmet inexplicably pops open while fighting them both. Why? So he can get a better look? Dumb.

As a Robocop fan AND a Michigander, the movie took place in Dallas and Pittsburgh for the most part. If they're going to say Detroit, it better be Detroit. Thus, Robocop did NOT take place in the D.

See when they were writing the movie they were hoping you to think about it being the whole loop of shit happening over and over, and not thinking about how he was originally born.

Maybe it was filmed in Dallas and Pittsburg, but I'm pretty sure it took place in Detroit. OCP was going to build Delta city where "old Detroit" now stands.

The setting for Robocop is Detroit. Dorn is just being a technical douche by saying it doesn't because it wasn't filmed there. According to Dorn, apparently, if I were to ask what city The Dark Knight primarily takes place in the correct answer is not "Gotham City", but rather "Chicago". If you get asked where The Wizard of Oz took place, fuck you if you don't answer "on a California soundstage."

I give the first one the benefit of the doubt because at least they sort of tried to put a plot into it. In the second one, it was just kind of like midway Michael Bay said, "You know what? Fuck the script. Run around in the desert and we'll blow shit up."

Right. I will be a douche when it comes to the D. The D is my town. Yes, most of it is pretty shady, but I feel a lot of people from outside the region look at it as a shit hole, when it's really more of a shiny gooch.
