Maybe this thread has already been done before, however when looking at the NES top 100 I noticed Destiny of an Emperor was nowhere on the list. Come on! That was the best NES game ever! It should have at least been somewhere on there. Maybe not enough of you have played it but I think it needs to be checked out.

I love Destiny of an Emperor. It was on my personal list. It was perhaps too Asian for most peoples' tastes.

I think I was a little more disappointed that Rock n' Roll Racing didn't make it on the SNES list.

That game was fun, but cool rock songs done in MIDI format made me always turn the sound off.

I can appreciate that. The big selling point for me was that it was like playing an outer space version of RC Pro Am.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: The Manhattan Project, preferably where Bubble Bobble is. Chrono Trigger probably still would've beat it, though.

Yeah! Chrono Trigger is the best NES game off all-time. I mean, you look at those graphics and they don't even seem like they were possible on that system.

Zanac.
My own personal top 100 would have Super Mario Bros at the top spot.

Ugh, fuck Zanac. My friend sent me that on the VC as a Christmas present as retaliation for me sending him Donkey Kong Jr. Math. It's a better game than DKJM, but not much.

It's under appreciated, you got a good deal! As far as I'm concerned (next to Lifeforce) it's the best shooter on the NES.

My favorite NES shmup is 1943, which I completely forgot didn't make the list. That's bullshit.

Until you see Tales of Phantasia, which we didn't even get in the states. Well, at least until PS1. And, even then, it looked exactly the same.

I know I spent a lot of time playing Shingen the Ruler---my introduction to turn-based strategy games. That was one that was ommited that would be way up there on my top 100. But I don't think it was very popular, so not too surprised it wasn't included in the list.

That was another one of those games I wanted to play as soon as I got into emulation, and then realized it sucked ass, regardless of the translation.

Has anyone ever played the fan translation of Bahamut Lagoon? I've been meaning to for years, but never got around to it.

I've wanted to as well, that title screen looked bad ass but that's as far as I ever got.

I have! It's about on par with the GBA fire emblems in terms of difficulty, I liked it.

Bahamut Lagoon is really good. I played it many years ago, but it was good.
And I loved Zanac, thank you very much! <3

If I remember right, I thought it was decent. It actually has an average of 8.2 on GameFAQs, which is pretty good for an NES game. But still, its only based on 11 users.

I just found it generic. The graphics, the settings, none of it really stood out. Maybe if I had played it 22 years ago instead of 2, I'd be more forgiving.
