Every Capcom vs. game has the same problem, namely at least one of your favorite Capcom guys is MIA because the roster is split between Capcom and another IP. So how about Capcom vs. Capcom? MvC2 had 56 characters, so how about an HD 2D fighter with a 56-60 character roster of nothing but Capcom guys? How completely awesome would that be?

This reminds me of an old project on a message board where everyone posted move-lists and lines for all of the Robot Masters in a Mega Man fighting game with everyone at the time in it.(9 and 10 weren't even thought of.)

A full-on Capcom brawl game could work, but it would be a little tough to just not overload it with Street Fighters.
Actually, I could go for Capcom vs Konami too

While plowing my way through Tatsunoko vs. Capcom's roster, I started thinking along the lines of 20th Century Fox vs. Capcom. This could allow for such matches as Luke Skywalker vs. Zero, Ellen Ripley vs. Jill Valentine and Homer Simpson vs. Zangief.

I think a good rule of thumb would they could 1-2 new SF characters who hadn't been in a previous vs. game. And obviously any Final Fight characters who have appeared in SF wouldn't count towards this total. They'd also have to resist the urge to pad the totals with DarkStalkers characters as well. Capcom has a lot of properties though, both popular and obscure, so it really wouldn't be that hard.
And honestly, one of things I hate about CvT is how few SF and DS characters there are. And given the tone of the game, I would have really preferred Lilith over Morrigan. Lilith's top hat super is one of the best super moves in fighting game history.

I'd like to see at least Jojo or Hol Horse from Jojo's Bizarre Adv. but have like Super Joe or the Bionic Commando just for nostalgia sake...

I agree, but I never could figure out how to get any actual damage out of it.
Personally, I kind of like the "Fuck you to death" super Morrigan had in MvC

Jojo's Bizarre adventure was a license, so there is little chance of it appearing in any context ever again, much less in a crossover.

CFE wasn't any more of project than just a glorified mugen game. It was focused only on fighting games anyway, though I liked the appearance of the Red Earth/Warzard guys.

Funny, I was about to say that I'd buy one of the "Capcom Vs. X" games when Leon S. Kennedy is available to kick ass and take names with, but honestly there's a shitload of awesome RE characters for a game like this. Wesker, Krauser, HUNK, Chris, Steve, Jill, Mendez, and maybe some of the monsters like Nemesis, Tyrants, Hunters, Verdugors, Garradors, or Reapers. Shit, that was supposed to be a small list. Maybe Capcom should do like a Capcom Property vs. Capcom Property game. Think about it! Resident Evil vs. Mega Man!

This thread is making me laugh too much. Still reeling over the Cereal Mascots Vs. Capcom, and have been thinking of how it could go.
Definitely have the Raisin Bran Sun as the boss, he would dominate with his "Two Scooops" super, haha.
