so, i was originally going to make this thread about nothing but keanu reeves, but i figured i would keep the topic open.

why the keanu hate? simply because he is the worst thing in A Walk In The Clouds (yeah i like that movie... makes me a homo i know. big whoop, wanna fight about it?!) at any rate, i like that movie. its a decent love story and it has some good actors (anthony quinn et. al.) but keanu cant do anything right. ever!! (except for bill & ted of course).

anyone hate any other actors out there?

oh yeah, i hate ben affleck too. and justin long gets on my fucking nerves

I liked Keanu in Devil's Advocate actually. I used to hate Matt Damon until The Bourne Identity movies came out.

Keanu just has very little range.

Will Ferrell is high on my list of bad actors. Just horrible.

Agreed. Although I will admit he was a good choice for the first Matrix movie. He sucked in the second and third, but I think that's as much a function of the piss-poor writing as it was him, so I can't blame him too much for that. The casting I CANNOT forgive is allowing him to play--and butcher--Shakespeare in Much Ado About Nothing. It's a beautiful and brilliant movie, one of my favorite Bard adaptations of all time...and gets ruined every couple of minutes because of fucking Keanu trying to speak those beautiful words. Kennith Branaugh you're a genius. WHAT THE FUCK WERE YOU THINKING??? (To this day I'm convinced he owed Keanu a favor, or had his family kidnapped by Keanu's agent or something.)

As for the other actor I can't stand, Nicolas Cage. He drives me freaking crazy. I didn't like him even before I saw "The Wicker Man," and now all I can think when I see him is either a) "NOT THE BEES!! NOTTHEBEEEEEEEEEES!" or b) "How'd it get burned? HOW'D IT GET BURNED?? HOWDITGETBURNEDHOW'DITGETBURNED?!?!?!?!?!?!?!" Rolling Eyes

I hate Nicolaus (?) Cage. Why anyone would think a droopy, balding guy would make a good action hero is beyond me.

I too detest Cage. Also, relative to your comment. I don't get the Jason Stathem as an action movie star thing either... he seemed to fit right in, with the Ritchie movies as a quasi gangster type, but a skinny balding british guy just doesn't scream action hero to me.

I know I'll catch shit for this but I really don't like Morgan Freeman. That guy is in EVERY movie and the only character he can play is MORGAN FREEMAN. Seriously, I know know who his character is in any movie, I just see Morgan Freeman.

Well yeah, but he's barely in that. And you have to give him for making it on his own and not trying to cash in on the Coppola name.

I will never argue that he hasn't done good movies. My problem is that he is always the word part of said movies, because HE CAN'T FUCKING ACT FOR SHIT.

He's mostly an action star. When has "good actor" been a prerequisite to stand next to shit that blows up? Never.

True, but at least you could look like a believable badass while doing so. Bruce Willis does, plus he's a decent actor to boot.
