I am not surprised to see it in development since it was only a matter of time. I have to say it has a pretty decent cast, but for shit sake why not cast the real Mr. T as B.A. Baracus. He needs the work and would probably do it cheap, he looks the same as he did in the 80s for the most part, and if your childhood is like mine he was what made the A-Team awesome. If Hollywood is going to do this Hollywood movie thing with every popular TV show I would like to see the original cast in the movies and a continuation of the TV show if it is possible, not this recasting and remake bullshit. There has not been ONE good TV show that was made into an enjoyable movie. I would never pay to watch one in the theater.

Yeah I know. I would actually be semi-okay with losing Mr. T (I know he's old), but what I can't abide is Liam Neeson as Hannibal. Now I have nothing against Neeson--fantastic actor. But he is not fucking Hannibal Smith. I'm sorry, but that's like casting Arnold Schwarzenegger as Rambo--yes its the right general type and they've got the right idea, but its still an epic fail. I'm usually not jingoistic about this sort of thing, but Hannibal NEEDS to be played by an American. Either that, or Liam had better do the best American accent ever put on film. Face you could get away with being slightly European. Hannibal, no way. He's quintessential American if ever there was one.
Bradley Cooper as Face I can buy. Without Dirk Benedict playing him, the character is a pretty big meh for me all around. This should work out well though.
Sharlto Copley as Murdock is *inspired* casting, and the #2 reason I will see this movie (behind the fact that I grew up on the A-Team and love everything about it.) If he even approaches the neighborhood of how good he was in District 9, this character is in very good hands.
Quinton Jackson as B.A. ...Sure? I don't know the guy. He has the right look I guess, although he needs to be quite a bit more grizzled than all the pictures I've been able to find of him. He should do just fine.
EDIT: Really Ardock?? Maybe you're picturing something a lot different than I am...and I hope I'm wrong on this and you're right.

I feel like this movie would lack any comedy and that's what made the show sweet. I say thumbs down before even seeing it, but I'll give it a chance I guess. Or not. I dunno.

I was hoping Chris Tucker would be cast as B.A.

Well, Copley as Murdock will give us plenty of laughs if the script is good, but this was my major issue with casting Neeson as Hannibal. I just don't think he can get that same kind of cigar-chomping, jazz-loving sarcasm that George Peppard had down. Maybe he will and maybe I'm wrong, but my gut is telling me no. And that's awful, because miscasting Hannibal would be the quickest way to send this movie from good to suck.

"Hey! Remember that thing you like from the 80's? Well it's on it's way back without all the things you originally enjoyed!"
Yeah, I heard this was in the work over 2 years ago, I guess Hollywood won't be satisfied until they take every old idea and try to rework it in today's world and make a dollar off it. I honestly can't see an A Team movie doing THAT good.

Would most of you agree you would go to a movie starring the original cast and a 20 years later scenario (if it could be done and the cast is alive). I would consider that and would probably go. When you cast the flavor of the month as a TV character like MacGyver I have no interest. I'm sure a MacGyver movie is just a matter of time.

Well, Hannibal is dead. I would rather have the original 3 come back, maybe the scenario is Hannibal got shot or something and they're at his funeral...Baracus was drugged of course. Afterwards, they swear cold blooded vengence on whoever did this.

Exactly. I would pay money to see that.

George Clooney as Hannibal
Michael Clark Duncan as BA
Tom Cruise as Face man
Jim Carrey as Howlin' mad Murdoch
Just think of the budget on that bastard!!

Hell. Yes.
I've suffered from an egregious lack of Dirk Benedict for so long, I think I might go insane if he actually took on a film project.
As for random people being able to find them, remember that Hannibal is *cough* a master of disguise. They vet all their clients and if they smell fishy, they don't take the job. They just don't show those encounters in the series because it would be boring.

Okay, because the Faceman was SO much hotter than any man has a right to be, I forgive the borderline misogyny of his actor. Dirk, I love you anyway. He is right about Amy and Tanya, though--NO ONE, let alone a female, needed to stick their nose in and muck up the chemistry those four had.
The only, ONLY (other) bad thing about it is how disconcerting it is to see images of him now, and images of him then, put together like that. He kicked its ass thank God, but cancer still wasn't very kind to him.
Oh my God though, seeing them all back together was amazing, especially Dwight and Dirk. Such good friends back in the day. It was...weird watching them hug Colonel Decker though. And George Peppards son...I won't lie. I sniffled.

I like how it says it's "uncensored" when it CLEARLY is.
If the song featured only Bumpy Knuckles, it would've been decent. Cena just strikes me as someone who does everything below average.

I was a huge fan of the show growing up. But just like all of the other movie remakes of the shows I loved growing up, this will probably be garbage. So I'm not too picky about the cast.
What makes me upset is that Rampage pulled out of his fight with Rashad Evans to make this movie. Damn you Rampage! I've been wanting to see that fight for years. I can't say the same thing about an A-Team remake.
I would much rather bring back the original cast for a reunion movie (made for TV, or made for the big screen, either way).
Next, I suppose they are gonna remake the Honeymooners using some black guys.

That picture looks so unprofessional. There are 9 years olds that could photoshop a picture better than that. I don't doubt it is real, but that is just awful.

Btw, am I the only person who doesn't ever get why they considered Murdoch part of the A-Team? I mean from the first couple of episodes, he was nothing more than their pilot and they had that chick in there as well, but as soon as she was written out, Murdoch got a bigger part. Nonetheless, I always considered him the weak link in the team overall, since he seemed to be the least redeemable.

I believe this could safely be mereged in the original A-Team movie threads, no?
That said, the photo itself is horrible, but I do like the spirit of it. Murdock looks a little TOO badass, but other than that, not bad. Neeson makes a decent Hannibal, at least in looks. We'll see what happens in the actual movie. Still giving it the benefit of the doubt.
