I'm trying to get some Summerslam tickets which are in Boston this year, and they go on sale Saturday, July 15th. I'm assuming these will be a pretty hot ticket and will sell fast, like in under an hour or two. I have ZERO experience when it comes to getting tickets that are really popular, but me and a group of friends really want to go. I'm hoping some people here have some experience, because I don't know if I should try to get them online or show up Friday night around 7 PM and wait all night and get them as soon as they go on sale Saturday morning. Does any one know if showing up around 7 PM the night before would be early enough, and if I did that would I be guarenteed getting tickets, or will Internet sales get all the tickets before I have a chance to get to the window screwing me and every one else in line out of them? Basically, I just don't know if I should sit online as soon as they go on sale and try to get them, or the safer bet would be waiting in line over night, any one have any experience with really popular tickets like this and care to offer any advice? Do you think I might be exadurating how popular Summerslam will be and it'll actually be simple to get tickets? I'm not sure what to do at all and really want to go, so any advice at all would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I have never done the box office for ticket events, but I would recommend using Ticketmaster.com, provided that you have a fast connection. I have had good luck with it. Also, make sure you set up and account prior to ticket time so that you can checkout faster.

Syd, Spanky, do we dare try to subject ourselves to Summerslam? I've never been to a real wrestling show live and we missed TNA tonight in Lowell. Sexton, how much are the tix?

I've been screwed before buying wrestling tickets in person. I remember being first in line, but being held up for five or ten minutes while the ticketmaster staff bought up the best seats themselves first.

Online is better if you have a fast connection.

I was actually thinking about it, as long as the prices were reasonable.

There are a range of ticket prices. $30, $50, $70, $90, and $300. Only shitty part is they don't show you what prices get you in what section. I am gonna do the online purchasing now, but I can't find the tickets on Ticketmaster.com anywhere. I've never tried purchasing tickets as soon as they go on sale. I made an account, but I can't find the Summerslam tickets anywhere on there? You guys know where they are on there so you could help me out a bit, since I am completely unexperienced when it comes to this. Thanks.

Found the event finally. What happens, on the day off will there be a "waiting room" or something for me to go into to get tickets? Or do I get on around 9:30 and keep reloading the page when it gets close to 10:00 and hope I get through? I know the questions probably sound dumb, but I've never done it before...thanks.

You have to keep refreshing the page until the tickets are on sale. The bitch of it is that it's not automated, so tickets could go on sale a few minutes before 10 or a few after.

I think Syd should get a $300 ticket for a floor seat on the far side of the arena, then bring a sign with SYDLEXIA.COM on it. Sure it may be a little pricy, but it would be great advertising, and you could probably sell the chair on eBay to recoup some of the money.

That's actually a really good idea, but I HEARD, that they take away signs that advertise websites on them, so he would have to sneak it in, although I doubt that would be to hard. I'm not sure how true that is, but I'm just saying what I heard, so make sure you sneak it in if you actually try it, just to be on the safe side.

Solution: Bring several pieces of cardboard and a marker. Constantly remake the sign whenever they take it away.

Our plan if we could ever get good seats would just be to bring dry erase boards and markers. There's too many good signs that you can make and I'd hate to restrict myself to as many as I can think of beforehand/carry with me. Examples include, but are not limited to:
Hungry Hungry Helmsley
TNA is better
Wrestle, damn it!
Don't fire Eric Young
Use me!!!
WOOOOOOOO!

Any one end up getting tickets? I was able to get some, hopefully they're good seats.

Alas we didn't, which saddens me. Syd, Spanky, and our other friends have all seen the WWE live, but I haven't, and I'm gonna miss seeing Hogan wrestle (which we obviously knew was happening before the tickets went on sale). Oh well, maybe TNA will come back around here soon.
