How would that work? Can you still be all the characters and they all have their own story lines? Cause that'd be hardcore.

It needs to be based on the Van Damme movie. The only playable characters would be Guile, Cammy, Chun-Li, Ken, and Ryu.

While I'd love that, why those particular characters? Why not DeeJay and his quest to get more money? Or Zangief? That guy was like the best actor in the movie!

M. Bison is a bad guy?

This would be dumb cause you could just bust out fireballs and other special moves all day long. How are generic thugs supposed to compete with that? If they made it so you could only use special moves after filling up a meter, ala Final Fight 3, that would also be dumb and not true to the SF series. Why not appreciate SF for the game that is and play one of the great Capcom beat em ups that already exist instead: Final Fight (original), Captain Commando, Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, The Punisher, Alien Vs. Predator and Knights of the Round all come to mind...

Wasn't that Superman game for SNES a "beat 'em up"? Well they had to nerf the shit out of Superman (as they would in any Superman game) he just walked around beating up random thugs, so why wouldn't SF work like that?

I'm so bananas I'm showing up to your open casket,
to fill it up with explosive gases,
and close it back,
with a lit match in it,
while I sit back, and just hope it catches.

Blow you to fragments,
laugh,
roll you, and smoke the ashes.

Like most video games based on movies, it would take liberties with the story in order to provide a better gaming experience. Dee Jay would be a boss, as would Zangief. Blanka and Dhalsim would be the token team boss.

In fact, I must extend the topic. Don't you guys think that the concept of Street Fighter II and characters can be developed into any kind of game style that one may think about? i.e: Street Fighter II RPG could be a great game, or something like Unreal Street Fighter Tournament, even a plataformer...

I don't know... Am I fucked up in the head? your opinions, please.

SF would definitely not work as an FPS. It wouldn't even be an FPS, it would be an FPP. A first person puncher.

Well i wouldn't mind seeing it in a way they made those Dragon Ball Z tenkaichi budokais games. Free roaming areas with baddies to brawl around.

I just mean how the gameplay is laid out in terms of a huge arena and the ability to use projectiles and combos. Also stuff life Vega jumping off of walls would be possible.

I find the idea of a street fighter RPG very alluring. Would it be traditional, or some crazy fighter mechanics thrown in. Maybe something like the combo system that the basketball dwarf from Shut up and Jam had?

It could sorta be like Legend of Legaia where you have a certain time to input your move.
