When I was playing Super Smash Bros Melee, I noticed that the camera shifted down when I was at the menu selection screen.

The yellow camera stick was in it's normal position. I tried to fix the camera angle, but the camera just shifted down again.

The problem is in a controller. I have two controllers which I have had since I bought the Gamecube way back in 2002. I am now playing on a Wii.

This has happened very often now. Does dust aggravate the controller's conditions, or do I have to shell out $40 for a new pair?

I am asking now because Super Smash Bros Brawl has four different modes of control, one of which includes the GameCube controllers. I want to use the GameCube ones so I don't have to buy batteries for the Wii Remotes very often.

The game is coming out in two weeks, so reply soon.

Two words: Rechargable batteries.

I got them the same year I got my Wii and have only had to use regular AAs once, for the 2nd wiimote.

I grabbed four rechargables for my 360 and Wii controllers. Best investment ever.

And this started happening with my N64 conrollers. I opened them, and there was a fuckton of dust. I cleaned that out, and it worked fine.

I highly recommend NOT using the wiimote for brawl.

Agreed. But, since I've got a Classic Controller and currently lack a Wavebird (or even a GameCube controller) I'll be using my wiimote as simply a power source for the CC. FWA (the furcon I went to) had Brawl set up with a full complement of 3 GC controllers and a Wavebird.

I'll probably have to buy a classic controller, considering I can't find any gamecube controllers around here.
