Well, skittles are chewy whereas m&m's are not. But either way, the idea does sound terrible.

realistically though, sour skittles sell like crazy in my store, and I don't recall chocolate skittles doing very well.

Yes, and that makes them completely different  ...on that note, which do you prefer? I may be partial to Smarties because they're made with Nestle chocolate, which is fucking amazing.
