Yeah, I don't want Huckabee for any position.

Powell is interesting, but unlikely as you said. His reputation was soiled after we didn't find the WMDs.

The kind words McCain said about Rudy near the end of the last debate give me at least a little hope.

Personally, I think Michael Steele would be an interesting choice. Sadly, I doubt anyone besides political buffs know who he is. He may be black, but he certainly doesn't have the name recogniztion that Obama has.

How about Alan Keyes?

Laughing

Man, I remember Keyes running against Obama in '06 for one of my state's senate seats. It would have been funny if it wasn't so pathetic. I really wanted to abstain from voting for that office that year. Choosing between an out-of state kook and a socialist is no fun.

Alice Cooper lives in Arizona, doesn't he?

But normally you pick someone from a different part of the country as your running mate to give your ticket national appeal.

Yeah, he lives in Phoenix. I forget which part, but he has a sports bar downtown called Cooperstown. Pretty cool place and they have some live local bands playing every now and then. And the waiters/waitresses have to wear the eye makeup in the style of cooper.

Normally yeah but McCain has always been that guy who keeps stuff close to home.
Alice used to live in a huge mansion that was easily visible from the freeway leaving the city.

I could definitely back a McCain/Cooper ticket, but I think some of Alice's stances could hurt the ticket.

Education reform: "School's out forever."

The economy: "I know we have problems. We got problems right here in Central City. We have problems in the north, south, east and west. New York City! St. Louis! Philadelphia! Los Angeles, Detroit, Chicago, everybody has problems! And personally, I don't care."

On the military: "Only women bleed."

On abortion: "Dead babies can take care of themselves. Dead babies can't take things off the shelf."

My mom thinks McCain and Al Gore should run the country together. McCain handles the war, defence, and economy, Gore handles he evironment, diplomacy and our transition from fossile fuels.
