Fucking bullshit. Star wars fans have not only thought of everything, but argued about it, wrote shitty universe books about it, and flooded both wikipedia and the wookiepedia with tinfoil theories on the matter.

In one Expanded Universe comic, nearly all of the Ewok population was killed due to environmental devastation caused by the destruction of Death Star II (See Endor Holocaust). Opponents of this theory however have argued that the majority of the Death Star's debris was either removed by the Rebel fleet, blocked by deflector shields on the moon's surface, or sucked into a nearby wormhole called the Endor Gate. In the primary Star Wars Universe (based solely on the movies), it appears that the destruction of the Empire was concurrent with the death of the Emperor, thus allowing the use of galactic resources to reduce the devastation to the Forest moon.

You know, I had the title line in Star Wars. You know that part where Raiders of the Lost Ark guy is teachin' Luke to fly the thing? Yeah, when he says, "Hey, let's take this thing out for a drive."
So, they're on the back of the Falcon, and, they're holdin' on to it's feathers...

All that Star Wars "what if" nonsense reminds me of how in Clerks Dante and Randall were talking about how any independent contractors building the second Death Star were killed, and whether or not the Rebels were considered to be responsible for their deaths.
