I buy DVDs at a much faster rate than I watch them, the reason being that it takes 2 minutes to buy one and 90-180 minutes to watch one. So I buy movies, forget about them until I finally decide to watch a movie, dig through them all, and find something I didn't even know I had.

So yesterday afternoon, I ended up watching Short Circuit. I forgot how fucking awesome that movie was.

Oh, how I wish I had that sort of money... and a time machine.

But get the sleek one, when it is in cruise mode. It's looks way cooler than the normal "Fantasy Zone" ripoff.

Usually when Short Circuit comes up in conversation, and I'm done remarking they had a white guy (Fisher Stevens) play an Indian guy, I'll change the conversation to "anyone remember *batteries not included?"

Fuck yeah I remember that. Jessica Tandy was in that. Haven't seen it in years, though.

I vaguely remember it too.

I remember there were little robot aliens from outerspace and I think there was an eviction plot in there somewhere too, but yeah, I haven't seen it since it first came to home video.
